Sue Garland who is one of the owners overcharged my credit card by 22, 000.00 . I only ordered a carpet runner and she charged me for all of these items that we had not decided upon. They lied to me, to GA consumer affairs, and the better business bureau, and the credit card company. Sue changed the dates on invoices and was caught in many lies. We used Hotwire to book our car rental through Dollar Rental in Orlando, FL. We were to pick the car up at their Universal Blvd location the evening of 02/11/2009. We were told while booking they would hold the car for 24 hours. We called to let them know our flight was late and we would not be able to pick it up in the morning. An employee of ours rented a car from Thrifty Car Rental. They were hit by another vehicle and were not at fault whatsoever! The other party's insurance was supposed to cover all damages and expenses. Shortly after, we start receiving calls from a lady with Subrogation Management about fees that we must pay. I have received two letters stating I owe a large amount of money. Assetcare states in the letter I can settle the account if I pay 60% of the balance within 30 days. I have signed on with fds and I was served with papers from one of the credit card companies today they are sueing me. I then called fds who preceeded to tell me to fax everything to then and not to worry. I have now found this website and am reading all these complaints and think at this point I need ro file bankruptcy so I can stop paying these crazy fees to fds. They seem to collect all their fees up front and leave you nothing to work with to settle with the credit card people. I have tried to contact Slingshot Communication, Inc. by email and phone. They never answer their phones or email. I have a wireless modem from them that can be "recharged" with a credit card for more airtime. Their online credit card "recharge" system doesn't work. Not being able to contact them, I don't know whether they've "flown the coop" or not! Their direct phone line is always busy. Their "tech" line is always busy. Ms. Smetanick falsely sold me a persian kitten under the pretense that the kitten was healthy. However, within 24 hours of getting her, I had to take her to the vet to get treated for an upper respiratory tract infection. She subsequently developed diarrhea, which required another vet visit. Beware!! We bought a Harmon pellet stove from Woodman's. The first year the stove worked fine. During the second year the stove broke down. Woodman's couldn't figure out the problem. They came out several times and sent different repair techs each time. They all had a different reason for the stove not working. They replaced a motor they thought was gone.
