Jag from Euro Canada Furniture sold us a dinning room set based on a Galaxy Furniture catalog he had in store. The set was delivered missmatched by Galaxy Furniture. The hutch and the buffet boxes describe them as of color "brown", while the table, leaves and the 6 chairs have the color on the boxes "cherry". We purchased a washer and dryer and paid for the dryer vent. The store was not able to match the unit color and were returned. They also took the dryer vent. Company failed to pay numerous employees in a timely manner, and failed to pay them the correct amount for time worked. Complaints were made by some to labor board and by others to BBB, neigther of which bothered conducting an investigation. This presented a problem when a couple of incidents occurred in which Security Officers were stealing food from client sites because they had not recieved a paycheck and could not afford to buy food any longer on their own. read full review »

He says he is a Contractor & Handyman. He also goes by the name of Hoby Handyman. He does not carry any kind of insuance, and works - as you might say - under the table. He has no tools, but tries to borrow them from customers - then will misplace them. He even does lawn work, but doesn't even own a lawn mower. He is a complete phony, he screws sub-contractors and anyone else he thinks he can get away with. He has been Bankrupt before, - very shady. After paying most of a past due bill (hey we're struggling to make it too) in response to a termination notice, PECO disconnected our power without warning over roughly $70 in past due charges. We're a single income family of six making less than the PUC poverty level average and these cats turn out our lights? I purchased a large recliner 3 yrs ago, which is a piece of crap. It is literally falling to pieces. I have to place a piece of lumber under it to keep it from falling over to one side. Large pieces of wood from the underbelly frame are falling off, cracking wood and exposed nails. This furniture, which I paid lots of money for, is crap, garbage. I want it replaced. Our mattress has deeper than normal body depressions after only 1 year. It has been inspected by Mattress World and declined because we didn't buy the matching box spring. We were told by Mattress World at the time of purchase that our box spring was fine and "Would not void the warranty!". I have ordered my furniture from DESI in Rockville in August (now it's mid October), and I still didn't get it - it was supposed to be rushed order because they didn't have colors we originally requested. So I received the pillows. Inside of the pillow cover the actual "pillow" (if that's what you want to call it) was STAPLED!!! instead of being sawn... This is BS, especially if you have kids. bought a international bedding mattress from them for 500 dollers and found the seams on the mattress ripped in places and coming apart in other places. 10 days latter, they replaced this defective mattress with a new one that I found on delivery also had tears in the seams and lose treading on other parts of the seams. They now tell me, theyll send me another one tomorrow, and this time it will be inspected and made from a newer batch. When I switched to amerigas at a very small cottage I was renting they replaced my 150 gallon tank with a 500 gallon tank. I told there driver this was way more gas than I usually get but he set the tank anyway. There is no doubt that the valves on the tank were leaking gas, the odor is unmistakable, I reported leaks and they were never fixed. I was on a c.o.d. plan and after I did not call to have tank filled for about 9 months (I started heating with electric heaters) they sent me a bill for 125.00 for tank rental fees. read full review »

We custom ordered a couch and two chairs based on their compatibility. The chairs we received were NOT what were described in the pamphlet, and then they gave us grief when we tried to return the whole set. They let us exchange only the chairs for others, which do not match the couch at all. The chairs arrived poorly manufactured and the couch was under stuffed and poorly made. I wanted to share the experience I had with the Kenmore washer I purchased at Sears. If this makes even one person think twice about their purchase, it's time well spent. Five years ago (in 2003) I bought a Kenmore front-loading washer and dryer at Sears. A couple of weeks ago the drum in the washer stopped spinning, as if it were off the track. The dishwasher was never fixed and we called numerous times over a two month period. I bought a recliner/rocker in April. I did not get the right chair. I could not get back into the store until the 1st part of June. At that time I was told it was to late. I should have come in within 30 days. This really is not right. I should have been given the right chair in the first place. I know you will not do anything but just wanted you to know that I do not think that is a good policy. I think if someone is given the wrong thing it should be replaced as long as it is not torn up. We purchased a home alarm system from APEX in August of 2008. Since then, our sensor has fallen off our door twice. What is even more disturbing, however, is that our alarm has been going off in the middle of the night. APEX sent a technician to fix the problem once, but since then it has once again sounded around midnight.
