I have a service contract with Sears for my Amana 22 u ft. Fridge. It was not cooling. I called Sears and they sent out a technician after a week. He said the heat exchanger needed cleaning and was surprised that Sears had not cleaned this during their annual maintenance visit. He said it would now cool better. It never did. I then discovered after a week that the ice maker was frozen solid and the rest of the fridge was warmer than usual. I purchased a front loading washer and dryer with pedastels. The pedastels are still sitting in my garage because they cannot find the hardware to install it. They will not return my calls. A few years ago my wife and I spent our tax refund on two recliners from Globe Furniture in Lagrande, Oregon. My wife purchased a Lazy Boy and I purchased a Lane. She tried to talk me into a Lazy Boy because we had previously owned a Lazy Boy handed down to us from some friends, that chair was 20 years old. I requested a quote from Blatt Billiards to install my snooker table. A service technician saw the table, and took the pockets, rails and cloth to work up the final quote. Before I received the quote, they charged my credit card. Upon review of the quote, it was too expensive. I contacted Blatt on Monday to let them know I am not going with their quote as it was too expensive. They said they had already completed the repair work on the pockets. I called Santa Clarita Locksmith (http://www.santa-clarita-locksmith.com/ and got an estimate to re-key some home door locks. When the guy came out, he ended up replacing 1 deadbolt and 1 door lock and then switched out 3 other locks: HE CHARGED US OVER $800!! What's worse? He wanted it in CASH! We were Suburban Propane (Fargo, ND) customers in 2001 and were happy with their propane service. Approximately in 2004 they were purchased by Ferrellgas. Although we live in Minnesota the Grand Forks, North Dakota office of Ferrellgas was the supplier and answered our calls for customer service. On the 31st of August 2008 I purchased a bedroom set for $4000. The salesperson assured me that paying the whole amount will secure the inventory and that I will receive the furniture on time. We purchased a LG bottom mount French door refrigerator in 2005 we also bought a 5 year extended warranty for the fridge. There is a 3 year lemon policy. I had my historic home painted in Jan. of 06 by Procraft Midatlantic. It cost me $17, 850.00. The job was warranted for 25 years against cracking, fading, chipping or mildewing. Less than 2 years later, I have chips, cracks, rusty nailheads and some of the caulk had fallen out. I have been calling the company (now Liquid Siding of Maryland, LLC) since March of 08 trying to get someone out here to fix the problems. All I get is promises of return calls, but they never come. I am done with Solar Lights. For years now I have tried to do my part and that always included solar yard lights. Does not matter what brand or how expensive. They only last about a year. Cleaning or replacing the batteries does no good. They just do not work after about a year. I have replaced mine for the last time. We hired and signed a contract with Ubuildit Bethesda to help us with building our dream home in Arlington Va. Ubuildit started out strong and very helpful. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis washer and dryer in July 2007. My washer was beeping the other day and it would not work. Sears sends a repair guy who spent 2 hours installing a sensor and another part. THen he spent 1/2 hour in his truck in my driveway (all the while I am missing hours at work). He then told me it was the motor that needed replaced and my total bill at this point is $621. My washer is only 14 months old! This is ridiculous! I'm a subcontractor that did work for STIR Construction in Dallas Texas. Richard Stokes the owner owes me $60, 000 all work was complete When i ask about my money Stir says the have not been paid but yet the owner Richard Stokes has new cars just bought a new house this is not fair. These guys are all over Florida. My roof leaked in places it hadn't leaked before they worked on it. After a couple years of problems they said the warranty expired. Mind you they job was never done right and though they did come back a couple times it was only after repeated phone calls. My new roofer had to tear out all their work and start again. This is the biggest rip off Furniture Store in the State of Massachusetts. They do not return calls, they lie through their teeth. You never get all of your furniture delivered at one time. There is always something wrong with pieces that had to be repaired. They tell you the furniture repair man will be there. They never show up. Horrible work was done by Bath Fitters on my parents home. These are rip-off artists of the worst kind. My mom contracted Bath Fitter to install a tub and wall liner in their main bathroom for $3500. I went to Rent King in Jax to get some furniture. The stores District Manager happened to be there that day and he was my salesman. I picked out a Sofa and Loveseat and was assured I would not be getting the floor model rather a new set from the backroom. Back in Sept of 2007, a Platinum Protection sales rep had come out to our house. They were giving Free Wireless Alarms away with a 2 year contract of service. Called Maytag's 800 # and spoke with a very kind and empathetic agent who arranged a service appointment with A&E Factory Service for somewhere between 8-5 on Monday, 9/15.
