We own a shag rug from Pottery Barn. The rug has been extremely smelly over 1 year and has been shedding for the time we had it. C&C Mattress sold us what was supposed to be new Sealy Latex mattress. The day it arrived they delivery men refused to allow us to inspect mattress. After they left it we opened the box and discovered the split down the side of the mattress. DR HORTON has been an absolute nightmare for my family. Imagine this, we moved into our so called new home in July 2004. We thought it was a great price for the size but we did not know any better. Was suppose to come in a two hour window of time, didn't and was late The carpet samples of the "best" carpet were a very poor quality. her first estimate of a 12x12 bedroom was $1500, then she knocked it down with discounts to $1080. Hired company 2-08 for bathroom remodeling job. Complete per foreman after 3 days of work...Salesman came to my house to get paid that day! Here's a consumer complaint not with the store I purchased this product from, nor the installer, but with the manufacturer! Beware that spending a lot for carpet doesn't translate to long lasting! We received a bill from Direct Energy today for over $900. When I called to speak to a rep. she gave me my meter reading for the past 4 months. All of them were around/averaging 80, 000 except Decembers reading which was almost 800, 00 (over 100, 000 more). Had a water leak and needed someone to check it out. Called the fancy insert in the yellow pages. When the individual arrived, he couldn't wait to get a signature on a contract. He wouldn't even talk without it. I finally agreed for the primary amount of $45.00. I made the big mistake of furnishing my whole house using this store. All of the furniture was damaged one way or another. The assembly on some of the furniture was not done correctly, if even done at all, leaving it very unsafe. I just purchased (1/17/09) a Simmons Beautyrest mattress. From day one I experienced terrible sagging, hard hump in middle and on sides, even though using proper frame according to Simmons customer service and warranty. Sagging only happens when you lie on it (at least so far). Warranty only if sagging while not lying in it. I received a Sealy Waterbrook mattress from Costco a month ago. It is still emitting an overpowering stench of chemicals, and I'm waking up with breathing difficulties and stinging eyes. The odor is so strong that you can smell it from the hall leading up to the bedroom. I called to have this guy take a look at my central heat unit. I already knew what it needed, and he told me I needed an entire new unit, when in reality I only needed a new blower motor. I do not recommend buying this top-loading washing machine. Our machine was purchased in 2006. Coins slip into the bottom of the drum and break the water pump. The first time it happened (2008), the repairman found almost $3 in coins - some had entered the pump and cracked it. Of course, this was the day after we had put down a new rug. Even though I am vigilant about checking pockets, the problem occurred again and this time the pump got clogged with three pennies. Incident = Nov 1997 I purchased new USG joint compound from Home Depot, San Carlos, CA and it was used to texture my walls and ceiling throughout the entire house. During this process I and my contractor were exposed thoroughly to dust from sanding the texturing material.
