Memphis Area Transit is the worst, and some of the drivers are rude and hateful. The bus company hiked up the fares all across the board. If you have a large family, and your trying to catch the bus good luck. It will cost you just as much to catch a cab. And, if you complain about the service the drivers' give nothing is done, nothing at all. I've seen driver stop the bus and get off and order food sit and eat. I received an e-mail to complete a survey and receive a free laptop computer. The survey involved signing up for services and products. I signed up for a couple of magazines and a trial for Hoodia. The next thing I know I have all of these companies calling me. I received a test message on my cell phone from UR Bid4Prizes and was charged 9.99 for opening the text message. It was a good thing that I contacted my cell phone company and inquired about this charge. I was getting close to using all my minutes this billing cycle, so I used the #646# code frequently to make sure I didn't go over. It would take an hour or two to show the new total. Apparently Nextel does not understand the words "cancel my account,." When I called to cancel my account in August 2007, which had two lines on it, they only canceled one phone line but they do not automatically cancel all lines! When you want to switch to their partner Sprint, they say you may without any early termination fees, but Early Termination fees do not apply just to your account, it applies to each phones and then they say you must import the number of the phone to your Sprint phone. Anyone else fed up with this outsourcing of tech support to India? I canceled my Verizon cellphone, DSL , and home phone this year do to lack of tech support on a dsl problem. I spent a month trying to get it fixed. I had crossed lines, dsl disconnects every few minutes and the Indian (tech) told me that it was my computer. I recently received notice from my bank that my credit may have been in danger. They suggest I get my 3 free credit reports. I did this. Apparently there is an area where they sign you up for a free credit report service for 30 days. You must cancel before the 30 days are up. I received a charge of 11.95 on 9/26/07 and 10/26/07.
