AT+T bills me for "slammed" services even though I have told them I have not, and will not sign up for any 3rd party services. The AT+T rep says they can't do anything about it because they are required by law to be complicit in any scams and all they can do is collect their fees for the services they provide to the slammers. As of today, I'm still trying to remedy a situation...I got a disposable camera with prepaid developing and postage from Office Depot's website. I walked in to see if I could: 1) Purchase an Eliptical Machine and 2) See if they would service my existing treadmill and move it to another room in my house. I have been a Hostway customer for years, 6-7 by now. During this time period, 4 or 5 times, their SSH access keeps getting hacked by automated programs. I never use SSH, but when suddenly "My pages" are missing, that is the first thing I look at, the SSH logs, sure enough someone hacked into it. We purchased this sewer drain cleanout machine from Lowe's for $407.95 on May 25, 2004. We have only used the machine five times since then and had significant problems on three of those occasions. According to the literature, it cleans 4" lines up to 100'. What the literature does not say is the machine "eats" cables quicker than my cat consumes a raw shrimp. I received a renewal notice from Gourmet Magazine around June 2008 which I ignored because I no longer wanted the magazine. I then started to receive notices demanding payment of a $15 renewal fee or my credit rating would be ruined. I purchased this extended warranty with my used car. When it came time to use the warranty I was told that they did not agree with the cost of the services performed on my car and would not pay the dealer the amount required to fix the car. Watch out for their upgrade scam. I have Preferred Speaking 9 and bought Naturally Speaking 10. The have a $50 upgrade rebate. The box I bought did not have the same sku as the rebate. On October 22, 2008 my son took his 1999 Honda Civic to Scott's automotive in Lubbock. After inspecting it, they determined that he had a bad engine and his only option was to replace it. Florida Fireplace is unethical and does not stand behind their word. Florida Fireplace recommended a Peterson gas ring with electronic controls to convert my brick wood burning fire pit to natural gas. They stated in their written quote that "the Peterson set up is designed (and tested) for your application".
