The first year they were decent, so I signed up for a second year. In this second year service has dropped 90%. I got a handwritten not from my son detailing the times he sent me a letter via VFI. They only sent one of his messages out of 5. I tried contacting them but they refuse to answer all 4 of my emails and today I called but I don't think they will respond either. Worst and most dishonest installers in houston. charged $45 to come out to my house and provide an estimate for vent hood installation. they never provided the estimate... even after providing reminders and many opportunities. asked for refund and the store owner thinks that he is still entitled to payment for "driving out" to my house even though he admits not providing any service or any estimate. who does that? how can you run a business screwing your customers? over $45 dollars!!!??? Keystone tree and stump service came to my home to cut down my trees. They did not clean up when they were done cutting down my trees i had large branches laying around my yard wood chips were everywhere they even got them in my pool. While they were doing their work they scratched my siding so bad i had to spend money to replace it. I saw an advertisement on computer to bid free on items. Then they told me to enter my credit card number so I could join the club. I assumed it was free. After entering it, it said the charge was $150. I immediately closed the window. Now they are charging my credit card without permission. I want this charge taken off my credit card, but so far no action has been taken. Please do not make the mistake I did. I am 75 years old and a little slow, and they take advantage of me. My card has been charged for two months at $18.95 each. I don't even know what this is and did not sign up for anything. I would like a refund and no further charges from my card. An apology wouldn't hurt. I am at a point where I need to get a different card. ARS-American Residential Services - charges an exorbitant 'parts' charge rather than time and materials. They replaced a capacitor and relay and charged my 87 yo mother $681 and then tried to sell her a new unit to boot. Stay away from these guys! Use a company that charges time and materials. With ARS, you'll get a novice repair man with incentives to put in parts you don't need. The more parts, the higher the cost (like $300 for a $20 capacitor!). Do not ever use this on-line company! I placed an order for a 54" bath tub on line. Checked to see the status of the delivery on their website under my account and it always says "pending shipping". After finding out that my son's formula was recalled I was directed to the recall page. I was instructed to put my information in the site and they would send me a FedX box/mailing lable in 3 days. THEN it says that only AFTER they recieve my recalled formula will they send the refund and it will take 4-6 WEEKS before I recieve that. They are masters at stalling your claim, all the while pretending to be sympathetic, etc. They will 'change their mind' about required documentation, and demand it at the last minute, knowing that professionals have inadequate time to comply; they will change reps. on you about 1/2 way through the statute of limitations, and indicate that all the previously provided records from another agent are "Lord knows where!" Through some helpful support at Yahoo, found Verio had changed the IP address used by Yahoo's forwarding service (the one that had worked for years). My wife and I visited The Eagle's Nest to check it out as a possible venue for a family member's upcoming wedding. At first it seemed like a nice place, but this feeling was not to last. While there a wedding was in progress and we were allowed to view the ceremony from the room where the cocktail hour was to be held.
