On a phone call prior to 1/14/2010 I was told by a customer service rep at Columbia Gas, that they did NOT shut off services during winter months. My service was shut off on 1/14/2010. I have invested in La Hoya Bay Residence, Al Marjan Island Project in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the UAE. RAKIA, the state controlled construction company is the master developer responsible to deliver the apartments to investors. So far, they are unable to settle legal issues with a private developer "Frank Khoie". Investors are held hostage here. RAKIA can't be trusted. Their leader Sheikh "Ass" can't be trusted either. For the past two years, they have been taking deposit and not delivering apartments. The response from them is very little. I have lost Rs. 10 lakhs. Spent almost 6 grand for the call king temper-pedic bed w/ the ergo bases and the steel bars at the end of the bed band hit my feet when the watch TV or read and I'm sightly ober 5 feet 8 inches tall and it hurts! If one cuts and makes the bar so it's not so high you void the warrenty. I have owned one before but Gustav ruined my condo and bed and had to buy a new 2009. I bought a cooks microwave and cooks toaster from jcpenney.com. Both products I purchased in April of 08 together and they both died on December 09 on Christmas day no less. I had microwaves and toasters last me about 5 to 10 years and these products only made it a little over a year. I even have the boxes for them and they look brand new. I purchased an expensive platform bed from Matisse Company, online. We receive the bed in a few weeks and upon arrival, it was so poorly made, my husband could not put it together. If you have Suburban Propane now for you LP Gas, "RUN, RUN, RUN" as fast as you can. We have had dealings with them in New York ever since they bought out a local dealer (32 years) and Florida ( for 3 years) and they are just the same in one state as the other. No one regulates them, no one cares that the consumer is at their mercy. The price that they charge to fill the tank and the price they pay you back when you terminate service, is as far apart as the Sun and the Moon. It appears that the track that is to take away the condensate from the freezer compartment clogs or malfunctions. This spills water on to the floor of the freezer compartment which freezes and, eventually, spills out on to the floor and runs in to the kitchen. We saw the add in a paper that is delivered to our home every month. The coupon for vent/air duct cleaning starts with saying $39.95. This includes one return, one main duct and vents. The technician came out and counted the vents and said that there needs to be additional work. He NEVER gave a total or did an estimate before starting the work. Needless to say we started at around $40 ...final was told at the END of service is $3100. I called and complained to the owner and he took of $500 (which I did appreciate). Ron Latham and Latham roofing is very, very crooked organization. They offered me a FREE repair estimate (which I have saved on voicemail) and then tried to charge me for coming out and looking at the repairs. The other two companies that I looked gave me free estimates and were very professional. Latham roofing pays for advertising in the ADVOCATE magazine in Dallas so beware. Do not ask this company to come out and give you an estimate because if you decide not to use them they will try to bill you for that FREE estimate and call you several times and leave several harrassing voicemails (Which I have saved). read full review »

This company is beyond shady they are extremely crooked. Unfortunately we opened the door when a salesperson claimed to be in the area. Do not give them your information, the harassment of phone calls are through the day and night. On 2/16/09 our 4-year-old Kenmore front-loading washer (purchased at Sears, along with a warranty) started making loud banging noises & the fabric softener dispenser did not working. During the prposal stage, the contractor MARK BESNOS pointed out items that should be included (things we hadn't thought of) and the possibility of items that might appear during the remodel. We had fixed our broken water pipe through them. A mexican guy came with 2 of his young apprentices and his young apprentices worked while he watched and directed them. One of his apprentices had no experience at all. Soon after they were done, we noticed that our bathroom faucet and bath shower waters came at a very reduced flow.
