ATT DishNetwork
Sam April 6, 2009
I purchased ATT/Dishnet work last Sept ('08). I missed the last endings of all, all, every game of the World Series. I called a number of times receiving assurance things will get better. I continue to get the same poor service. It is April 2 and nothing. I have had repair people out on at least three occasions and nothings. I pay close to $100 a month and get almost nothing. They tell me we will reduce your bill by $10 a month! So now I will pay $10 less for the same nothing. The penalty for canceling is $180. I pay via auto pay, so... read full review »

Hague Water installed a $9, 000 system for our new house in January 2007. they knew we had no public water supply in our area and would be getting water from our pond. they promised us crystal clear water. 2 years later the only thing crystal clear is they don't know what they are doing and are very willing to keep selling us more and more equipment hoping to someday fix the problem. Do not give them cash or checks. First you'll get a knock on your door. It will be a college student asking you if you could look at something. They'll say if they get enough people to do it they'll win a scholarship in a contest. They give you a laminated paper with their picture on it and supposed information. They'll show you three more laminated papers with info on both sides. They'll have 'Codes' and magazine names. They'll ask you to pick out a magazine. You pick out one and they'll say they... read full review »

These accusations are completely untrue. We have been in business under the same name since 1987. In this particular case, the customer's item was backordered. We informed them of this and then cancelled the order. No money was EVER TAKEN from this customer, and their credit card was NOT charged. It has been our policy for 19 years never to charge the customer's credit card until their order is processed and shipped. Our web site is most certainly not "fake", and has been in continuous operation on the web since 1994. Our fax number and customer service email are listed on our web site and we respond promptly to all inquiries. read full review »

Auction Success
Vanessa April 6, 2009
A free eBay Seminar - learn how to use eBay - not true. Seminar related to selling for Auction Success and using their products and had nothing to do with learning how to use eBay as a sales tool. Asked to pay $20, did so in cash and filled in form and signed it so I could listen to the seminar. At the intermission I told the person giving the seminar that it was not what I was looking for and it was not what I needed or wanted to do and that I was not interested in the remainder of their seminar and really wanted my money back. On-line camera store Dear Sir Or Madam: I recently tired to purchase a Nikon D70 from www.RoyalCamera.com at 342 Kings Highway, Brooklyn, NY 11223 I ordered a D70, with a Nikkor lens. What arrived was a D70 with a Sigma lens, which is about $200 less, but I was charged the same price. When I called to correct the order, Ronnie, first tried to convince me that the Sigma was better, and then offered to send the Nikkor lens for more. I then discovered that their business practice is to see their products without the manufacturer’... read full review »

Ron April 6, 2009
We fell for the scam at A1 Auto. We purchased a car and were scammed out of 3, 000 dollars. We found out from our attorney that the contract was in fact for a house not a car and if we had paid all of th payments that the owner could come and reclaim the car and we would have no recourse. We also found out through the DMV that the dealership was suppose to give us temp tags and paperwork to register the car in our name which they did not and the owner of the dealership had it registered in his name. When we started questioning this the owner... read full review »

I had to call my brokerage firm to report both of these unauthorized charges against my account and am in the process of having my debit card changed because of it. Simmons Pillow
Adam April 6, 2009
Bad news on two fronts: Simmons Pillow Top and Simmons response to defective mattresses. In October 2004, we purchased the top of the line Beechwood Summit from Simmons (Mattress Gallery in a Southern California store). Out of the box, the mattress was uneven and caused sinking into crevasses. Since this was contrary to the showroom experience, either: a delivery mistake was made, the showroom mattress was not what Simmons delivered or we had a rare defective. No, it was the proper delivery. Assuming the latter we went through the defective... read full review »

I ordered a new camera and was sent a refurbished one. I had printed out my online transaction from start to finish, so I knew that nowhere did it say refurbished at the time of my purchase. After many frustrating calls to overstock.com and after speaking to several representatives, did a supervisor finally tell me I would get a full refund, free shipping and would not be charged restocking fees. thegoodcook.com had an offer on mypoints.com that if you bought 4 cook books for $1.00 each plus postage you would receive not only the books, but a $50 gift certificate to Olive Garden. Nothing was mentioned about buying any other books. I bought my four books (which cost me $16 +). Not only didn't I receive my gift certificate, but now they are saying I must buy 2 more books before I can cancel my membership. I feel I am really being screwed. I did not get my gift certificate, and now I must buy 2 more books, which will probably cost me at least $50 for the books and postage. read full review »

She just had a black eye, really! I then had it taken to a very respected body shop with over 30 years of excellent business. I stopped my service with Time Warner Cable in January 2009 and had a credit due to me of $122.03. This was because I always made sure I paid my bill on time and the results was an overpayment. I made several call to them wach month (the last on 04-06-2009) and they said the refund would eb cut in 30 days from the close out date (which was in January). But no one could tell me why the refund has not been done now that it's the 4th month since I stopped the service. These guys are crooks! The scam begins when you decide to cancel. This guy doesn't return your $100 as stated in his refund policy in his website.
