I've experienced a total nightmare with the RIU Santa Fe. I booked my wedding with them. I"ve never been treated so poorly by anyone in the travel business as I did by RIU staff. Tried unsuccessfully to lower interest rates which was the only way to reduce my debt since I always pay as much as I can over the minimum balance unless it is all I can manage that month. Calls are made usually on Saturdays with threatening tactics to have you arrested and sent to jail and you will have to come up with $5000 if you don't immediately pay a lower amount. My husband purchased flowers from Pro Flowers for his mother on Mothers day in May 09. Starting in June, there was a monthly charge of 14.95 on our account that only offered EZSVER RW. I did not catch this debit until 9-1-09, when I called my bank to find out what it is. They stated to me that it was a service provided. I did not authorize anything for 14.95 a month. I had to file a claim to get the money back, but I have to wait the 10-20 days. I am going to call the company directly to get the charges reversed. This is illegal somewhere I am sure. I purchased an LG refrigerator on Feb' 08 and started having repairs on it on 6/26/09. The freezer stopped working. I had a repair man come out and add gas and replace the filter. Then on 8/29/09 the freezer stopped working again. This time its the circuit board that needs to be replaced. I do not have an extended warranty. So this will cost me parts and labor over $300.
