We had checked several companies for a mobility chair for my mother who had a stoke earlier in the year. My last paycheck was withheld. The company said that the Pay Period dates listed on my paycheck were wrong. They proceeded to make up a "correct" pay period date, which made it so it looked like I already got paid for that Pay Period. Very deceptive business practices and bad accounting procedures. Employees should be notified of this practice and be very careful about checking their paychecks. I was involved in an accident in which my car was totaled and taken to Interstate Collision & Service Center (a storage facility for vehicles). I order phone on line, once received it would not activate, after hours on line with the company they could not get it to activate. They have yet, 3 months later given me a refund or after numbers of calls, offered anyway to send phone back for a refund. Calls are answered off shore, if at all, no one has authorization to refund your money, and they do not respond to email or letters, calls all end in the same way, we will research the problem and get back to you. Second order placed a year or more later to buy more of an item purchased in first order, items were smaller than size indicated and no longer made in USA. I subscribe to internet service via StarHub called MaxOnline which is the highest level service they have for which I pay $116 per month plus tax. They claim you can get up to 100 mbps on the service and a minimum of 60 mbps. I experienced some serious issues in August where I was getting less than 1 mbps and could not even use the internet service. StarHub made multiple service calls from August through September 2009 and finally my service level came back to an acceptable level.
