I had a unit build by this company in 2005 and have nothing but problems with the construction. At that time, they had an office in Maryland but have since closed that office and moved back to New Jersey making service almost impossible. Dust Doctor came to my home in scarborough to install a furnace in my home. Recently I called Dircet Energy to have them give me a quote on replacing my water heater. Direct Energy informed me that the company who install the furnace insulated the chimney with the incorrect size, the size was so small and this would eventually allow carbon dioxide to enter the home. I went to Lowes on June 5th at 4 pm to meet with Steve and go over the order for a new front porch. What I have been a victim of is the section in the GHBA Residential Construction Contract that in essence allows the builder to promise anything to get the 'commencement fee' check with no interest or concern of ever fulfilling any provision of the contract. I had a 40'x90' pole barn built by Rob-Bilt in August of 2008. According to Rob Bilt, thier buildings can withstand winds up to 90 mph. Also according to Rob Bilt, they place their posts 3' into the ground and sometimes even deeper. Here's my problem. We had sotrms last night with high winds up to 70 mph. These are the worst builders ever. I bought a new home from them during the recent housing crisis. They tried to make ever short cut possible to maximize their profit and short change me. My house didn't have screens for six months. My bathroom sink doesn't hold water and my tub has cracks in it. I had the Gutter Helmet Sysytem install Back 12/2002 This system prevents leaves, debris, birds from getting into the gutters. Some how birds got into the gutter above the garage preventing the flow of water when it rains. I just noticed it cause of all the visible tigs. I purchased a queen size Eurotop mattress set from Gallery Furniture of 04/02/2009. After 2 months, I noticed the mattress was developing a "sag" in the middle of the mattress. I loved this set as it was a compromise with the hubby for the leather set I really want. I ordered the furniture and it came in when promised and we got it home all was okay. We sat on the love seat and it was perfect, when we sat on the couch it was a bit different in height but thought nothing of it. The next day it was worse, having your knees come up to your chest. Called, they came out and they put extra fabric weaved through the springs and that did not help. I have been trying to get a hold of Mathew Kline the salesman who sold me my outdoor kitchen for months. I finally did get him to deliver the order May 25. He delivered the kitchen components which looked good, but the grill has a big dent on the hood, is missing the rotisserie, and is set up for natural gas when I requested propane. I purchased, via the internet, a replacement bag for my Polaris pool cleaner at the end of October, 2008. By April, 2009, one side of the velcro strip that holds the bag closed had pulled away from the bag, making it impossible to keep the bag closed. I contacted the company, explained the problem, asked for a replacement but have not gotten a response of any kind. I can't say that all of this company's merchandise is defective, but I can certainly say that their customer service is.
