I agree with the other complainant, FirstLine Security is hands down the worst. Their system sent out several false alarms from my house as well. Then in Jan. 2008 the controller power supply shorted out and caught fire almost burning our house down. This was after I called them a week earlier to report the power supply was VERY warm. I purchased a wooden dining table on Jan 09. I also purchased a furniture insurance offered to me by store. By middle of the year, veneer starts peeling which I repored to insurance company and Easy life. Insurance would replace table but it would be voided after. I have had two rooms and a hallway done by NFD...the carpet was done fast and looks great...the hallway was done well, installers were nice enough. But after they left I noticed that the same "boards" were all in a row and look ridiculous! My salesman told me that the installer for the kitchen laminate would be able to fix that no problem. Do Not Hire Atlantic Electric operating out of Lorton, Virginia Atlantic Electric came to my house through my warranty company to fix my hot tub. I cannot sleep on the bed. The dealer, Jim Corcoran will not help me and referred me to the Restonic rep and she gave me the run around. I am stuck with a bed that no one in my family can sleep on. I have meet some over aggressive salesman but this one will not go away. His name is William and I first interacted with him at Home Dept. He will not give me a moment to think when talking to him and he gets upset when I do not want to buy what he is pushing. Now I bumped into him at Sears Jefferson Valley. This is a warning to anyone who is considering a roofing job with 1-800-Hanson's. I'd like to give you a brief review of my experience with this company. My complaint was - I got little hot water out of the hot water faucet and the cartridges needed to be replaced. I was told I needed a single handle tub faucet that should have been put in. I was charged $1, 352.44 for this. Then the plumber said the hot water wasn't working. He said he needed to poor acid down my water heater tube - but it would cost another $700.00 for this service. We purchased 16 double hung, 1 picture windows on 5/23/03 from the owner (Jessie Gorski) of the Continental Window South, Inc. They were installed 6/17/03. Recently purchased a Mr.Coffee coffee maker #FTX45-1. It lasted about 3 months & then would only make 2 of 12 cups of coffee. You had to turn it on & on 8 or 9 time before it would finally make the 12 cups of coffee. i purchased a load of lumber and i had a price from another lumber yard to to show that lowe's was higher than the other place...lowe's policy is to meet the price and beat it by ten percent ...i showed the paper to the manager ..he replied that it did not include lumber...i checked with other lowe's places and they all told me that it did apply to lumber ..the man still refused to correct the price..i had the lumber already loaded so i took it at his price..he refused to discuss anything or even to call one of the other place... read full review »

I had a similar horrible experience with The Door Store. I ordered mirrored wardrobes on August 26th and was promised them in 4-6 weeks. When I inquired at the six week mark, they told me they would not be ready till the end of October (approximately 8-9 weeks). Finally, I told them I would be in NYC for delivery only Nov 9 or 10 which would have been 12 weeks since ordered and of course they were not ready. I purchased Congoleum Duraceramic flooring almost four years ago, and have been haggling with the retailer and the manufacturer for the past eighteen months. We purchased a Stratford Upholstery sectional new in April of 2009. Shortly after that, the upholstery started literally disintegrating (see picture). I contacted the store, which went out of business shortly after that. I contacted the company and have been corresponding with them via email. The company has refused refund or replacement. We requested ADT security services to be installed at our residence on July 23, 2009. They took $150 up front took our credit card number at that time. The security system never worked. If we make a call to complain we have to pay $25 to $158 for service call. We cannot cancel the service because we have signed a 3 year contract! They deduct the amount monthly from my credit card. Ordered a Steel building kit from Global Steel Buildings. Paid a $500.00 deposit. The time for it's delivery came and went. After many phone calls I finally realized that I was never going to get the kit. Apparently they had underbid the price to get the order and would not be able to deliver. we bought Home accents holiday l7 boxes of led cool white c9 icicle lights. I put them up for christmas and found that over half were BLUE and NOT WHITE like it said on the box. I had to take them all down and take the blue lights out. I replaced them with white lights from the other sets.
