This company used to have a person to cancel orders, which I did - twice -with assurances this would be cancelled and charges taken off of my account; now they only refer to the gohelpnow.com website which is virtually useless. I paid an account for Sprint communications one year ago to a different collection agency. I received a letter from Asset Care informing me that I still owed money for Sprint. Hmmm, luckily I saved my paid in full letter. When I called I was helped by a rude woman who refused to give me a fax number so that I could fax my letter to. She refused to give me an email. My wife just told me that after simply making an inquiry as to if it would be possible to get a lower credit card rate on an account which has been successful and paid on time as per the rules of the credit company. I have called the company, and they tell me I ordered online, but will not give me any verification of this. The Standard Operating Procedure for this company is apparently to send books and count on a certain percentage will pay the bill. Cool Extras has been taking $12.99 from one of my credit cards for 13 months. I CANCELLED my subscription with them, one day after I obtained it. Clearly in the 30 day trial period!! Once I realized this was happening a few months later, I called to cancel it again and this time asked for a confirmation number in which the representative could not give me or his manager. My engine light was on in my 2002 VW Jetta. I took it to the auto shop I usually use and he couldn't find anything wrong after running a diagnostic test and apologized that I would have to take it to my dealer (West Broad Volkswagen).
