My husband and I checked out of this hotel and paid cash after the clerk told us our debit card had not been debited yet. I held the room with me card on the phone but at check out paid for the room in cash. The amount was also deducted from my bank account. I have called and complained so many times and was told they couldn't reverse the debit. I now have to try to go through my bank and fill out a dispute charge form. This is crazy. We bought Trip Mate insurance from Melrose Travel in Philadelphia in good faith and we cannot understand Trip Mate's ongoing dissembling, use of long paragraphs of ‘boilerplate’ in their communications and general attempts to confuse the issue. I purchased a projector lamp for my television from this company. Electrified Discounters advertised lamps as "OEM Equivalent", yet the lamp failed less than two months after installation. Quality OEM lamps last in excess of two years, so a two month service life is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the two-month warranty had already passed when I installed the lamp, and Electrified Discounters has refused any sort of refund, even a prorated refund. I refinanced my new Ford with my Bank and got a better rate than Ford Credit. I had paid a couple of thousand dollars for Gap Insurance which needs to be refunded. I asked for the refund in late August and its December and still getting the run around. I purchased, via the internet, a replacement bag for my Polaris pool cleaner at the end of October, 2008. By April, 2009, one side of the velcro strip that holds the bag closed had pulled away from the bag, making it impossible to keep the bag closed. I contacted the company, explained the problem, asked for a replacement but have not gotten a response of any kind. I can't say that all of this company's merchandise is defective, but I can certainly say that their customer service is. I am extremely disgruntled after calling customer service to make a return. Upon talking with my plumber, I learned that I had ordered the wrong faucet set. I ordered a trial on their product for me and my wife on 10/20/08 and the girl told me that the trial period ran 15 days from that date, 2 weeks I called because I had not you received the product and I canceled any further shipments. Today I received my credit card statement and there are two charger for $69.95 on 11/9/0 and on 11/11/08 and no charge for the original order of $9.90. Here is a scam that More Furniture is pulling... I bought a couch and loveseat combination on 1/17/06 using their no interest until 2011. A new promotion is introduced a few days later, no interest until 2009 and they will pay sales tax. Hired a DJ and videography for my wedding. Dj was so unproffesional, he didnt know what he was doing, didnt play a music for the wedding party in the ceremony, repeat songs over and over again and came in a very inappropriate attire. NextRx is totally incapable of delivering prescriptions in a timely manner. This is twice in a year they have done this to me. You would think two and 1/2 weeks is enough lead time. Unfortunately, I'm going cold turkey right now... not pleasant. Please convince your employer not to use them... you will be sorry... Had a charge of $39.95 on my credit card to Dri Surplus Supplies - a compnay that I had not heard of. When I checked the previous month statement I found 2 charges to the same company for $1.95 each. I have never authorised these transactions and an internet search has shown that they are active in taking money from accounts accross the country. This organization is running a scam on individuals who applied for grant resources. I agreed to the charges of 1.95 to review their policies, and was surprised to see a charge for 58.61 on my credit card. I called the establishment to have these charges reviewed, and they refused to do so. Once you apply for this program, you will charges ranging from 4.95 to 94.89. I recieved the 2100 for Xmas in 2006, with a free traffic for life feature. It was purchased in Nov, therefore the 30 day from reciept had expired. After a long and arduous ordeal, my traffic was installed. It worked for 3 months at a time. I sent the thing back 5 times for repair for this traffic thing that never really worked properly. This time it came back with no traffic anymore. You can't call them anymore. They have deactivated their phone. You have to go online and submit an email. You have got to be kidding me! HSS arranged for a contractor to install our new hardwood floors. The installation was HORRIBLE! I contacted them by phone (to no avail) and in writing (12/21/09). On 1/4/10 I received a reply to my letter stating that we had had the "corrective repairs made by someone other than the original installation company (Mickler Wood Floors)which invalidates the CPP. In my letter I clearly write that I would NEVER have Mickler Wood Floors in my house again and would need to have the floors repaired--not that I had them repaired. I was referred to this business by my university's website. I was led to believe that I had paid for a degree verification that would have an option for mailing a physical document to my home. Instead, I got a .pdf document that failed to include confirmation of my degree and only included the information that I am "not currently enrolled" at my university. In December 2006 my husband bought me a table and chairs for Christmas. In April I noticed that the table was peeling and one chair cushions was also having a problem. I called Roomful Express in May and the company sent out a gentlemen to look at the items. Roomful Express was to replace the table top and the chair cushion. It is now October and Roomful Express still has not replaced the items. Every time I call to find out what is going on the keep telling us that its the manufacturer they are waiting to hear from. I am a Disabled Veteran on fixed income. In the summer of 2008 I had a busted slap-hot water pipe under my house and it did flood my house. The water damaged my furniture, sheet rock and my wood cabinets.
