I figured I would write a more legitimate complaint than my last one about Blockbuster not having an adult video section in any of their stores. I tried to buy and download a software program through Broderbund four times, each time I received an error message and was unable to complete the transaction. Still, Broderbund billed my account for each attempt. I have attempted to get a refund through several Emails, still no real response, just automated replies. They have a phone number for ordering, but no number for more complicated issues. Surprisingly poor customer service for such a successful company. I ordered medication from Easy buy Meds/Quality Net in early February 2010. I received an email acknowledging receipt of payment and stating product would be shipped within 7-10 business days. I never received the product, and when I checked their website to try and contact them, there is no way to contact them. This company has failed to perform a home loan modification for me. They also refuse to give me a refund. I hired this company to peform a home loan modification for me over 10 months ago. I paid them $7000. They said they would use their lawyers to "negotiate" a loan modification for me. Do not place a special order from Belfort Furniture in Sterling, Virginia! We have been waiting for 3 months for a desk that we special-ordered to get a wood finish that is not in stock. My wife signed with Delray CC after being told our payment would be $1250 a month (roughly what we were paying at the time). After our initial deposit the rate went up to $1335. Be careful ordering from mensusa.com - after ordering suits for a wedding - languages were downloaded on my laptop and next time I tried to log into my bank account - I was directed to a new page. Used flimsy device just once to try to clear slight plumbing problem (slow drainage). After inserting flimsy snake into drain rotating it, tried to remove the snake, it got stuck about half-way the length of the snake, so pulled a little, it came apart First the red end, then the tip. This is a two part complaint, I have had problems with them they have lied and manipulated me into getting more money out of me. I have called them several times about mysterious charges and late fees only to get mystical answers that make no sense at all. LFG is definately very good at scamming... My problem started back in 2003 when i signed this lease agreement. @ days later the agent who had made the agreement disappeared and was no longer reachable. I obtained health insurance several years ago through a company called Midwestern or something. As a part of the application process I was asked to sign many many forms. One of the forms was an application for Alliance for Affordable Services. Very little if anything was said about this except that you have to sign this one to be eligible for the insurance. I just received a bank payment with an unauthorized charge for 39.95 taken out by DRI. I called the phone number on my statement 1-877-414-5117 and did speak to someone. I was able to cancel my account which I didn't open, but after arguing with them for quite awhile, I was unable to have my money refunded in anyway. We even made sure they were aware that there are several similar complaints we found.
