I have a problem with First Horizon. I have had a Home Mortgage with them for the past 6 years; and never had a late payment. I am currently paying my loan on line with them. Our main toll road on the M50 motorway in Dublin has removed the barriers and toll booths. Now drivers must pay by 8pm next day or face a double charge. I went to work next day in my wifes car, could not remember the reg of my car, and because I would not get back to my house until after 8pm, I now must pay €6 each way instead of €3. I just today stopped to make a purchase of a full tank of gas. Purchase price was $3.48 cents per gallon that equals to the amount of $43.84 cents not to mention the two (2) beverage drinks I had planned on pruchasing. I have tried repeatedly to call to shut off my service and the system through the phone line and the website does not even offer it as an option. I wait for hours to get though to a person who simply says they will transfer me to the right department and then put on hold for hours again. I think they will not talk to people behind on the bill? Mazda American Credit charges $3.67/day if you are late. In addition they charge late fees. They are taking customers cars if they are 15 days late. I have found out through people in this field that they are doing this to make money. If this is the only way they can make money then I guess business isn't too good. They did this before - took the car for a total of two payments. This time I didn't even owe two full payments but cleverly neglected to tell me that they added $60 in fees!
