Yearly Contract Fee was paid 6/08 in the amount of $178.82. Service call was requested 10/08 at my request. A neighbor let the technician in and was provided with a check made out to Comfort Control, the amount for the service call, if any, needed to be filled in. The technician requested payment of $178.82 and the check was issued. Comfort Control has admitted that this fee should not have been collected since the contract was in effect. Through his staff, the manager, Loius has promised refund of the overcharge of $178.82. This is the worst service I have ever received. The belt of of my dress was defective, requiring a new one needing to be ordered after going round and round until I was almost short of breath with the sales girls and manager. When I arrived for minor alterations and asked for a cost breakdown the girl said "we forgot the bussle" and actually added additional costs to the alterations I guess just to show me for asking. We invested with UBS many years ago. They totally mismanaged our account, but refused to make things right. We fought them in arbitration and in the courts for 10 years, and lost. It's not easy fighting a bully. They had our portfolio 90% invested in Worldcom and other tech stocks, even after we retired and needed safer investments. My refrigerator has been out of order since sunday july 9, 2006. I called the work ticket number 718-707-7771. I filed the complaint on monday july 7, 2006 the maintenace worker came by and told me the freezer had too much ice and to defrost it for 24 hours by leaving the freezer door open. I had to take all of my meat to my neighbor and leave my milk, eggs etc in the frigerator. The maitenance worker said that the food in the frigerator would be ok as long as i left the door open. Date is inappropriate. Anyway, for years the Canon drivers for their canoscan Lide scanners are terrible. Won't scan, if they do it's slow, often crash, at best get 2 scans before requiring a restart of the computer. I had to pay an extra $40 for a third party scan software (vuescan.)
