I placed an order with halfpricedmags.com on August 3rd, 2006. After waiting the 8-12 weeks for my subscription to arrive, I began contacting the company to attempt to resolve the problem. I just submitted a fourth request today in an attempt to get either my subscription or my money back. I sent them a tracking e-mail which they didn't reply to and I also called their number twice and left my return number and they have not called back. Other than TaxAct having minimal and useless customer service, an all around horrible product that you can get most other places for a fraction of the price and continuously send you emails even though you never agreed to recieve any- you cannot delete your account. You cannot cancel your membership. I tried to join this company for downloading but you had to give your personal details before you even placed an order. After giving all the details, I then tried to order a life-time membership but every time I pressed to carry on with the order, the amount charged kept coming up at 41.76 instead of around 18. Ikobo has a very complicated way to show their statements and it gets very bad when the debit card is used for small amounts, the best thing to do is go to an atm and get large amounts to spend the cash that you are receiving. I paid almost 500. dollars for a custom made leather book that they hand make, it has been over 6 months and I have not heard a word from them dispite many numorous emails to them, they are not replying. I have not received my order, and ahve taken this to the BBB and I3C. Had I been smart enough before hand I would have checked w/BBB first. They have numorous complaints on them for doing the same thing to other people. I recently purchased Chanel Perfume on line from this company and I now find on delivery by the Royal Mail I have to pay a £12.65 Customs Charge before delivery of the said goods as I have already paid for the goods by credit card I am unable to cancel the transaction. Nowhere on this site does it say that customers will have to pay a Customs Charge. "While 60 people were arrested in the Netherlands, 16 in Nigeria and one in Canada, victims of these scams include South Carolinians." Note that fake money orders are also included. They state the first one must of got lost in the mail. They then give us a fake tracking number on the so-called second controller. I received 4 phone calls in a row, at 11:30pm, from (229) 389-5848. They woke me up out of a dead sleep. The first two times I didn't answer the phone. The third time I answered and immediately hung up. The fourth time I finally answered the phone, but no one on the other end would speak - so I hung up. Vocalocity was not as good as my sales representative played it out to be. When I did my research I was quite confident I made the right move but I was very wrong. The support does not care and they have no problem with users canceling. I have my own business and would do anything to keep my customers. This is not what I noticed with Vocalocity. There was a mix up as to whom to send payment schedule to which resulted in the bill falling behind which made all the payments be late, thereby creating a bill that started at $500 to now be over $800. I could not make any on time payments, because i did not know how much they were or when they were, due because they contacted the wrong person and by the time i found out the bill was already backed up. So it is getting larger instead of smaller because of late fees and over the limit fees something has to be done.
