Didn't receive order and they are not responding to emails
I placed my order with HomeTownCandy.com in June. My card was charged the same day and I was expecting to receive the shipment within a week or so. After two weeks of waiting I started calling them. No one ever answers when I call. When you call they ask to leave a message because they are serving other customers. They never returned my calls.
I sent them a cancellation request because apparently if my order cancellation is not preceded by a cancellation request email I will be assessed an administrative fee of $25!
I've filed a complaint with my credit card company, and also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and will file a BBB complaint (there already are numerous unresolved BBB complaints against them).
I will receive my money back from my credit card bank because I am still within 30 days of my purchase but I want to warn everyone about HomeTownCandy.com and their practices.

No product received
I ordered candy from Home Town Candy online back in April of 2007. I did not receive my order but my credit card was charged. I called and left numerous messages and emails to refund my card. I contacted my credit card company (Amex) and they too were unable to resolve the situation I was still left with the charge on my credit card and no product.

Non delivery of goods
I ordered candy from the website. My card was instantly charged but I did not receive the candy. Whenever I call, I get an answering machine that states they are busy with other customers and to leave a message. They never return the call. I called the number that appeared on my credit card statement (which is different) but, likewise, never got a reply. I am filing a dispute with my credit card, after sending hometowncandy.com a cancellation email. According to their website, there is a $25.00 "administrative charge" for canceling orders without their pre-approval!!! I also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and will file a BBB complaint (there already are numerous unresolved BBB complaints against them). I will get my money back from my credit card company, but I hate to think that a company like this is ripping people off.

Charged my credit card, didn't send any candy!
I ordered candy from HomeTownCandy.com on April 23,2007 and they charged my credit card and didn't send any candy. I sent them a tracking e-mail which they didn't reply to and I also called their number twice and left my return number and they have not called back. I feel they are just a web-site with no product who should be charged with theft and shut down.
