Within a year of owning the Cuisinart coffeemaker DTC 975 series, I had it replaced once; the second pot malfunctioned within 2mos. Total cost of shipping on my part approx. $20. for each replacement. Told by Co. rep. out of thousands of coffeemakers there may be 50 defective. I of course received two of them. Why should I incur the extra expense of shipping for their defective product. I've decided not to chance another defective pot and absorb the loss.The original cost was $99.00. Trial membership went to full membership and the charges and companies started charging. One $29.95 membership = 5 charges from 3 companies = $72. I canceled all, only to be charge 70 next month from different vendors with similar names. The latest doesn't even have a complete phone number or web address to contact them. I bought a GTX Xpress Cooker, which we paid for in full, I paid extra for a cookbook. This was sent to our Address in North Carolina. We live in Bermuda so we made sure we were at our US address to get shipment. We then get charged $13.80 a month and a half later for Membership which at no time did we agree to, it does not appear on the website. I found a $140 overdraft fee in my checking account on 11/05/2007. There was still $275 in the account when this happened. The resulted in a $265 overdraft fee. I called them about it, they refused to bend to logic. This is the second time in 6 months that they've pulled this on me. The last time, I finally got someone to see the light after 3 tries. It was on one of the first weekends that Fina opened in Los Altos. As I was making my purchase, I accidentally knocked over a jewelry stand near the register. One of the owners, Ron Barajas, loudly sighed and went to pick up the items that fell. I thought that was really rude of him. On an opening weekend, you would think you would be extra nice to your customers. As big as is the name of the company, as small as its attitude towards customers. I purchase ULIP based life insurance policy in march 07 (no - 0045696230). As I asked for my acc. statement in sep07, I noticed a lot of un-authorised deductions in it. I immediately mailed back the request to explain these deductions. When I tried to contact the sales manager, he is keep ontelling the it has been send to my address, but I never received.
