I, too, am a victim of AFNI, Inc., Bloomington, IL. It started in 9-2006 when I finally called about a collections letter for a cable company I didn't recognize. It turns out that it was a company I had service with 18 years earlier (21 now)! I purchased Registry Mechanic on-line in NOV 2007. I just noticed a charge on my credit card on Nov 2, 2008 from DRI*PC TOOS.COM 800-764-5783 for $29.95. I called the phone number and after a 15 minute wait was told that the charge was for auto-renewal of Registry Mechanic. I said I did not request auto renewal, and was unhappy that they still had my credit card number on file after 1 year. The told me they would issue a credit and remove me from auto renewal. The MBF Leasing sales rep talked me into a lease with MBF leasing. Was told the payments would be cheaper. I was with Leasecomm for 12 years @$48.00 a month. Our HOA had hired Emiroglu Management Service of Leesburg, VA to handle financial bookkeeping and also Resale Packages with architectural code inspections. They ended up not performing inspections and then terminating with us after only 4 months. While their price was the lowest, we soon learned that you get what you pay for. We are now struggling with resident complaints over getting charged $100+ for having a few documents mailed to them by Emiroglu. I enter another number- that is not also recognized.. The prompt tells you to CB during normal hours. Can never get a live person. I purchased a Kenmore 600 washer. Immediately it was making too much noise and shaking too much when spinning. I looked over the instructions and the troubleshooting guide and followed all the directions. Florida Water Testing mailed us a card asking to test the water in our home, my wife filled it out and mailed it back to them. This company called us twice and sent out cards thru the mail, with in a week a Mr. George A. Beltz came to our residence to test our water.
