On april 5 2008 verizon offerred me a package of internet, tv and telephone for the amount of $99.00 + tax roughly $126.00. I accepted the package in good faith. after i moved into my home I saw direct tv turned up. on the 10th March 2009i was called to come and collect vouchers from this gym, since they were running a promotion. next thing they made me sign a membership form saying a won some sort of a deal. Now i called them today 13th March 2009, telling them that i will not be able to afford their fees, and that i want to cancel the membership they are telling me it's a binding contract. Back in November I was living in a place where the broadband cables were buried and I was getting very poor speed and since the lines were buried within a private companies ground (mobile home park) I was basically told that there is nothing they can do, so I decided to switch providers from Comcast to ACD.net It was not easy getting the service connected, first they make you go through a credit check, then make you wait days to hear back, and after all that, you will have to wait weeks to get the service started. In the 3rd Quarter 2008, Principal arbitrarily decided to block any transfers out of its Real Estate fund, which was losing money, and has consistently lost money ever since. New York City Housing Authority has turned off gas to the "G" apartments in my building. It is close to two months that we are without gas and they have provided a two burner hot plates to us at the time that the gas was turned off. They may think this would suffice but two months is too long to be using these hotplates to provide meals for an entire family.
