I used GE MONEY w/Empire carpet co. GE or Empire never told me that they subcontracted with each other on the loan and the actual work that was done. I received a call today from a lady named Jenie Pastor stating that this was a 'last ditch effort' to contact a neighbour regarding an 'urgent' 'personal' matter. She refused to state any details including the company name, reason or anything else. She made it sound like I would be doing my neighbour a great favor by helping her contact them. The call came from a Towson number 410-372-4856. She gave a return number of 1-800-304-8855. A search of the web revealed that this call came from your URS. They call it a free trial; what you don't realize is that they will wind up charging you $80 to your credit card--and will continue to do so unless you call them and stop all future shipments! My husband recieved a check also in the mail for $935.50 last week July 10, 2009. The letter stated that it was some type of grant program ans to send back 10% of the money or he would be sent to collections. My husband cashed the check because he thought it was legit & he had already been looking into different grants and had filled out for some in recent months, so he thought it was ok. I renewed my NewsWeek Magazine through Dial America. Although I had 3 months left on my original subscription they begin sending me the new request immediately. I called 866-964-2022 (Colo Flush) and they refuse to refund my money. They said my 2 week free trial starts at the time of my order and yesterday was my last day to cancel. We had Mr. Rooter in to clean out our sewer drain that backed up into our basement. Every time I talked to the tech, the price went up, up, up. By the end of the day the total cost to clean some roots out of the line totaled over $1, 500.00. Mr. Rooter advised that we should replaced the line in our front yard - which we agreed.
