Amy Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling
August 25, 2006
I understand that they charge a fee to come out and give a quote. I had requested this service and paid for it in the past. I managed a property in South Elgin and called Amy to get a quote. This was in October of 2005. It was a relatively big job regarding municipal code violations and other safety issues. They guy who came out told me that he was not able to give me a quote because the job was too complicated. So I had to drive out and meet the supervisor a few days later. He came and did his measurements and left. I never received a... read full review »

I found this out after asking other employees at work where they get there glasses (I was looking for a little cheaper place because my wife and 2 sons require glasses. They said that Ed Mills Office on Williamson Rd offered employees a discount. I told them thats where I had been taking my wife and children. CIC Credit Monitoring
August 25, 2006
I applied for a "free" credit report and was able to recieve it. However, my original attempt at cancelling it was futile. I was charged several months in a row. I've called again and this time I received e-mail confirmation that it had been cancelled. As a "courtesy" I will receive 1 months fee back ($12.00). This CIC Credit Monitoring is associated with both Lending Tree and Experian. The number I used to cancel this mess was 1-800-787-6864. It's taken me a couple of hours this morning to tend to this. Digital Delivered
August 25, 2006
Digital Delivered in New York is also associated with Red Tag Savings (and I received an invoice from Trusted Dealer), however, Digital Delivered is the one that billed my Visa Card. The facts: I ordered a Fuji Finepix E550 from Red Tag Savings assuming it was new for Christmas 2005. When I received it the box was not a Fuji box but a nondescript box with the camera and some accessories inside. It was obviously a refurbished camera and it had problems. They say all we need to do is give them 90 days and they will get us where we want to go. They do not do what they say and I have been getting the run around. I ask to speak to the owner and they tell me he is out. he is always out and I believe I have been swindled out of our money. I purchased a class I hitch from Hitchfinder.com in Feb.2006. It was out of stock and took almost a month for it to arrived. I realized I needed a class II hitch and reordered the correct hitch which they charged to my credit card and was told I would get credit when they received the old one. I got an RMA # and shipped UPS. on 3/08/06 they received the hitch on 3/13/06. I still have not been credited with the refund. The place is filthy. They don't clean up. I complained numerous times that the bathrooms needed attention. It took Multiple times for me to get someone to go in to clean it up. I was told by a snippy little lifeguard that they don't pay enough to clean. I also spoke to the manager mr. Gerhardt. He stated that they always clean and that was just a one time thing. Mine is more of a question than a complaint. I just heard that there's someone who would like to pass a law banning the use of cell phones in public. Whatever happened to the "Land of the Free?" The mayor of New York raised the price of cigarettes to $7.50 a pack to discourage people from buying them. Who legalized tobacco all those years ago? The government.
