Priceline
July 2, 2007
On 6/28/07, I reserved a hotel through Priceline and was charged $77/per night through “name your own price.” I had initially bid $60, but was told by Priceline that if I added $17 more, they could try again. Since my intention was to get a room with 2 queen beds, I was okay with paying $77. That same day, I called the hotel and the management told me that the room reserved was for a room with a king-size bed costing $69/per night. Note that I paid $77 through Priceline. The hotel refused to give me a room with 2 queen... read full review »

On 5/8/07, APS Insulation Services came to my home to price a job for insulation work to be completed under, in the exterior walls, and the attic of my home. Michael Eubanks, owner, was present to inspect the job in question. I received an estimate from him detailing the entire job; total - $9,000.00. It was broken down into 3 phases with corresponding amounts and a grand total: ground, walls, and attic for $4000, $2500, and $2500 respectively. Full payment was due upon completion. I purchased a 50 inch hi-def projection T.V. from a Lacks store. They sold me an extended warranty in case a any breakdowns or etc. Well my T.V. received a screen burn-in due to some cable channels not all being hi-def yet. I mean, its not my fault that not everything is not all hi-def yet. Well low and behold the warranty said no and that it was cosmetic. There are two huge wide lines on my t.v. and they call it cosmetic. I can't enjoy a movie and they call it cosmetic. ATT has been very rude and even threatened to cut off my phone if I don't pay. I have the online agreement that states what credits I should be getting and ATT refuses to live up it. My first time at Maxene on Broadway and 94th Street will be my last. When I got the bill, I was surprised to see that they have charged me 50% above the listed price for my blouses and dress. When I pointed it out, she claimed that my dress and blouses have lots of pleats / lace and therefore difficult to clean. In my 10 years of going to dry cleaning I have never heard that pleats / lace in clothing costs 50% more to clean and more importantly these information was not disclosed to me when I dropped off my clothes. After paying GE Money Bank at total of at least $5,000 on two accounts, they send a suspension letter. I call, they say "there is nothing they can do." A customer since 2001, given them thousands in interest threw the years. All based on an incorrect Equifax report. They didn't even ask for the report until AFTER they had over 5 thousand clams. Further, their call center is in Spanish only unless you start to speak English. Maybe they are replacing American customers w/foreign ones. This company calls my home several times a day and its annoying. For example, the fifth time today I answered without giving them a chance to say a word.
