We ordered a MCE Lucid-M8X Portable FireWire DVD-/+R/RW drive from MCE maybe 5 months ago. It took about 6 weeks to get to us and when we finally got it, it didn't work. We worked with the MCE support and tried all of their suggestions, but it just wouldn't work. They finally told us to return it for an exchange or refund, which WE had to pay for. We have been customers for at least 10 years and have not missed a payment or deadline. I called on November 27th, 2007 for a payoff balance of our mortgage. Our coupon booklet printed by the bank stated to call for a final balance. I was given an amount and therefore sent a money order to the above address dated the same day as the phone call. When made the appointment, they said that they will take my secondary insurance, the day of the appointment refused and I was not able to wait for another provider, paid $5040 for the procedure, can't get any money back from the billing department. By contract with Blue Cross allowance was $1208, my responsibility is only $208.oo. According tom Blue Cross they have to give me back $4040.00 but medical facility refused. Bought Maytag Quiet Series 300 at Home Depot. Worked okay (takes MUCH more time to go through the cycle than others I've had) but in the past 2 months it hasn't been washing all the dishes. I owe money to Key Bank because of some high fees that I was charged. I set up a payment for $50.00 and said I could possibly pay the balance off in 2 weeks. The woman I spoke with said just to call back before the payment date if I needed to change it. I called back two days before that date because I realized there was no way I could pay $345.00. I bought this more expensive electric can opener only about a month ago and now I just want to give it away to some unsuspecting person on Freecycle. It's a piece of garbage that can't open a can in just one cut. Try ten cuts and you may get the can opened enough to pry into it and scoop out the contents. It can't grab the can. The lever with the blade keeps falling off and you have to hold the lever 'just right' to get it to contact the slippery black button switch that runs the motor. The day before yesterday, I went to my usual store (M and W Food Market) to buy a bag of tobacco and was stunned to find out that they had raised the price by $6.02 (was $18.99, now is $25.01). I ordered a new TiVO DVR Monday, 12/10/07. It was delivered Friday, 12/14/07. They even threw in a free wireless connection. Although I have been able t connect two wireless laptops to my network, and TiVO was able to see my network, it was unable to connect. When I called customer tech support I was told to call the modem and/or router manufacturer for support or use ethernet or phone connection. Fabri-Tex made an unauthorized charge to my credit card in the amount of $2.95. I have never heard of this company or been to their website prior to my learning of their fraud. They make these unauthorized charges in small amounts hoping you won't notice the transaction on your itemized monthy credit card statements. They offered me a free credit card report which everyone is entitled to, once a year. Then they required credit card info to get it. I did not agree to any of the services offered, but now they tell me by providing the info I agree to a non-refundable contract with a 30 day cancellation requirement. I did not! I had purchased a health contract for my dog Pinki in 2002, Pinki died in 2004. At that time I told them I was cancelling the contract as I did not have another dog. They agreed. Then they started sending me bills for the contract and said I had to pay it before they would cancel it. I told them they had already agreed to cancel it. Providian decided they wanted to start charging me "over the limit fees" when their finance charges take me over my credit limit. They did this 2 straight months before I closed my account and made a payment that would not allow them to do it again. Basically, I would be at $2,450 (Providian gave me a limit of $2,500), would buy gas ($40) to keep me under my credit limit by $10. THIS IS a BAIT and SWITCH operator. Check the Better Business Bureau site and the complaints filed against them. Advertised on-line, I found an almost too good to be true price, which it was. I was required to call and validate my credit card and when I did they tried to switch to upsize the order. Patrol Masters is just like any other security company: they are able to get away with not performing regular, diligent work, so they just don't do anything. Their owner even said "what do you want me to do, tow cars?" in response to a request to tow cars in violation of code! Lazy (they have been known to take up to 3 hours to respond to noise complaints). Inept. Crooked (they will email homeowners in violation and allow them a 'second chance' in violation of the HOAs, rather than cite and tow). I ordered the book and found the program to be too expensive to do. Colonic treatments and organic food, what a rip off. I too tried to call customer service for a RM (return merchandise number). Finally you must call the 800 number on you credit card statement, then they give you the run around after being on hold for 50 minutes and tell me that someone will call you back. I finally called again and got my RM #, sent the package back requesting a signature of receipt. I rented an apartment at Tamarac for one year. When I vacated the apartment I received my deposit check from them I noticed there was a charge to have my apartment fogged for excessive smoke smell. I just want to advise anyone purchasing a computer from Toshiba. They will look for anything to get out of their warranty. I purchase the laptop from CompUSA, Anchorage Alaska in 2005. Within a year, the motherboard died. They claimed there was liquid damage to it, there was not, there was a little surface stain by a speaker.
