The day before yesterday, I went to my usual store (M and W Food Market) to buy a bag of tobacco and was stunned to find out that they had raised the price by $6.02 (was $18.99, now is $25.01). Bought Maytag Quiet Series 300 at Home Depot. Worked okay (takes MUCH more time to go through the cycle than others I've had) but in the past 2 months it hasn't been washing all the dishes. Deceptive warranty, and slow service. Made mistake of buying service contract / agreement from GE for microwave and oven, and, after five months, nearly 10 service calls, and mis-ordered parts, etc., they have decided no to fix unit. I purchased something from McAfee 3 months ago using the TELECHECK service on their website. It ended up being the wrong product so they refunded me the money. Well a month later I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe TELECHECK $87.00. I have been on the phone for the past 2 months trying to sort this out. McAfee has contacted TELECHECK to tell them that the product was refunded and STILL they are harassing me with this. I sent them my bank statement proving that it had been charged and then refunded. I owe money to Key Bank because of some high fees that I was charged. I set up a payment for $50.00 and said I could possibly pay the balance off in 2 weeks. The woman I spoke with said just to call back before the payment date if I needed to change it. I called back two days before that date because I realized there was no way I could pay $345.00. On November 23, 07 a day after Thanksgiving my car was impounded for abandonment. We were then being charged 160 for towing and 35 per day for storage fees. It turns out they wanted us to pay 350. After reading all these complaints about this company, I am seriously thinking about filing a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and my state attorney general. Fabri-Tex made an unauthorized charge to my credit card in the amount of $2.95. I have never heard of this company or been to their website prior to my learning of their fraud. I was emailed by CREDIT ONE BANK telling me my credit card payment is past due. Payment due date was was Dec. 10, 2007. I sent a check to them on Nov. 20, 2007 whiched cleared my bank on Nov. 27, 2007. I called customer service and spoke to a representative who made no sense. I ordered a new TiVO DVR Monday, 12/10/07. It was delivered Friday, 12/14/07. They even threw in a free wireless connection. Although I have been able t connect two wireless laptops to my network, and TiVO was able to see my network, it was unable to connect. When I called customer tech support I was told to call the modem and/or router manufacturer for support or use ethernet or phone connection. I placed an order and received absolutely no confirmation as I was guaranteed. What actually happens here is that once you have used Intelius, they send you an e-mail which usually goes straight into everyone's spam folder, since it reads as spam. The e-mail itself is an opt-out for the 14.95 monthly recurring fee for 24 Protect Plus or AP9*PMIDENTITY.COM-V (the charge which showed up on my statement) or any number of the umbrella sites they use to 'protect' you from identity theft.
