While completing an order on drugstore.com i was sent to this greatfunsite.com not realizing it. It was for an offer of 20.00 off my next order which i thought was drugstore.com. So i signed up and lo and behold it is a program that charges 11.99 a month. Something i am not interested in and want out of immediately. Drugstore.com is a new site to me and i have been doing some xmas shopping with them but this was the first time i was inadvertently giving my information to another site that i had no knowledge of. I had $31.98 taken from my bank account without my authorization or consent. I tried calling the 1-866-575-0260 number I received from my bank and got the same response as everyone else. I then called a friend of mine assigned in Washington, DC who just happens to be part of Homeland Security. There is an ongoing investigation about this company. So, I just had to add my comments to see if we can get this stopped. I was lucky in that my bank reversed the charges and put the money back into my account. Firstly, this company already has an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau, and when we added our complaint to the pile, the company did not bother to respond. We stayed at one of the Sunspot-managed properties for a weekend in October, 2007. When we moved into our home we purchased new appliances for our kitchen-all Whirlpool Gold. I had a service call within the first three months for the electric stove saying it didn't heat properly. Two technicians were sent to our home and told me it showed the proper heat level. I stood my ground saying it may be working ok right now, but it doesn't always hold it's temperature. I have lived with this problem since then and now the control panel has gone and the quote was $496.00 to repair the over that hasn't worked properly from day one. I keep getting spam Text Messages from ringaza.com. These messages come without a header that I understand and cost money for each one I read. I never signed up for service with them. Ordered JVC camera Dec 3, 2007. They required me to call to confirm order. Lied to me and told me only a 20 minute demo battery came with the camera and tried to sell me a $189 battery. I declined (can buy similar battery on ebay for $20). After 14 days I call to see why the camera has not arrived and am told it's on backorder. I'm willing to bet that if I had purchased the overpriced battery I'd have rec'd both!!! How can a gas bill go from 22.03 to $140.03 in one month when you don't even have heating, (system been out since November), never home, don't cook. I've called Centerpoint twice today and have been on hold both times for over 1.5 hours. Is this the way they get you so frustrated you just hang up. I recently attempted to cancel my LA Fitness training membership through Body of Change due to medical reasons. In October, I contracted Pneumonia, and due to some complications, my doctor has not released me to resume vigorous physical activity. On November 16th, I sent in a letter from my doctor with that information. Recently, I bought a pair of Roundtree and York pants. After a few washings they shrunk to an unusable size. Since this the 2nd time that this has happened to me I am asking you to start carrying name brands again. I do not have this happen when I buy dockers or haggler. I ordered DVD series on November 30th, and never received my merchandise from them. By the third week of waiting for it, I checked the status of my order online by sending them an email. I also tried to call, but only gives you the option of leaving a message. No one ever responded to my email and you cannot get through to anybody on the phone. This was someone's Christmas gift. I purchased a washer and dryer at HH Gregg. They called me at 6:30 a.m. to tell me they would deliver between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. . Purchased an LG dishwasher. After 3 service calls they replaced it!! The one they replaced quit working after 18 months, this was an $800 dishwasher!! They refused to do anything to make it right. We also purchased a Washer Dryer set for over $2300.00 the washer hase been serviced 3 times. We have to leave the door open on it because it smells so musty!! I ordered earthlink satellite thinking i was going to get really great service for my area. They came out and installed my satellite immediately. My service was slower than dial up. I called up cust svc. I spent 6 hrs on the phone being transferred from dept to dept with no resolution. We ran various speed tests and still they could not help me. I placed an order on this website for a Stator on 12-9-07. I was under the impression It would be shipped UPS. After the order was placed, I received a confirmation Email saying the order was being processed and would be shipped USPS. I would be sent a tracking number. I ordered an artificial tree from this company on line. It arrived promptly, however upon opening & trying to assemble the tree on Thursday, we discovered that it did not fit into the stand. We needed a site for our very small business and were on a very tight budget. They assured us that they could build the site we wanted. Its almost six months since we payed them and there has been nothing done.I feel this is out and out stealing. An immediate family member received an application several weeks ago from Continental Finance Company, LLC, an affiliate of First Bank of Delaware. I watched him shred the application (as we have taught him to do with most documents for security reasons). He never acknowledged nor applied for the outrageously expensive card. I started to use "Chase - Continental business credit card" since June. 2007. I paid my balance in full every month except Sep. 2007. So, on Oct's statement, there is a late fee and financial change. I paid in full (including the financial change) on time on 10/22/07. But again, on Nov's statement, there is $2.68 financial change. I was contacted via the phone about a FREE credit reporting program. It sounded good, so I bit. Bad move. Dell uses DHL shipping company to send electronics when purchased online. I purchased a very expensive piece of electronics and it was shipped by DHL out of California. I used the ability to track shipment online and saw they would attempt delivery on the 13th which is the day I was out of state on business.
