How can a gas bill go from 22.03 to $140.03 in one month when you don't even have heating, (system been out since November), never home, don't cook. I've called Centerpoint twice today and have been on hold both times for over 1.5 hours. Is this the way they get you so frustrated you just hang up. This has got to be the worst company when it comes to holding on the line to talk to a "live" person. When will they deregulate the natural gas companies. I think it's fraudulent what Centerpoint is doing. I checked my meter today (which is 7 days later than from when Centerpoint read it) and the usage today is 94 CCF less than what the meter was read back on 12/10/07. What does that tell you. Nobody actually read my meter just guessed. It's not like they don't already get enough from us!
