ATT.com promises consumers a DSL modem rebate of $49.99 with purchase of modem with DSL service on their website. This rebate is still offered on att.com to residential customers as of Jan. 2008. In my searches for employment I cam accross a company offering secret customer shopping employment. They sent me a cashier's check asking me to deposit the funds and begin to make a few purchases and to wire $4000 of the funds back to the company. I purchased model KWD-808-I Acupunture Stimulator in April of 2007. In October of 2007, the device stopped working. The unit turns on, but does not generate any output. The manual states the device has a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. The dealer says it has a 21 day return policy. We have sent a package including a passport by Purolator. They specifically said sending passports is ok, and it was declared on the envelope that it includes a passport. PUROLATOR simply lost the package. From the tracking system it seems that it never went out of the town, yet they undertook no serious effort to find the package. The case that was opened 4 days ago simply got closed today by declaring our package as lost, i.e., they do not want to even look for it any more. This product is a scam... you pay almost 200.00 They tell you it works... and you need to be patient and give it time. But then when you do give it time to work... which it doesn't... they will not give you a refund! They say the refund is only in thirty days... but to use the product properly you need 60 to 90 days. In January of 2007, I had an Ansul system installed in the kitchen of my bar/restaurant by Northland Fire. My old dry chemical system was outdated and I was told it might not put out a fire. My complaint is that AT&T is charging me for services I requested to discontinue within the fifteen day period allowed in their terms and conditions. I request service on the 7th of July and did not receive service until the 22nd of July. I purchased a RCA TV, Model 20F424T, on Feb, 2008 by July 2008 it just stopped working, the power won't come on. I called the toll free number @ RCA; I was told that they would replace the unit for an exchange fee of $74.00. This is half of the original purchase price of $149.96 plus tax.
