Papa Media & Alibris are SCAM ARTISTS! I searched Alibris for a particular book using an ISBN (International Standard Book Number), which is specific to *ONE* book only. The Alibris search engine delivered something else. I didn't notice the error until after I paid. I immediately notified Alibris & Papa Media of the error - within *FIVE* MINUTES. They REFUSED to cancel! In order to get a refund, I had to contact my credit card company. Papa Media has such poor rating on Alibris, they have opted out of buyers being able to read it! This is one of those companies that advertises a ticket to an event for a markup of 30%, not too unreasonable, but then tacks on a $15 shipping charge (for a piece of paper??) and a $5 handling fee. The scammer will send you a cheque that will include the haulier's fee that you will need to send on to him (normally by wire services such as Western Union or Money Gram) This check or money order will be fake, even if your bank cashes the check or tells you that it "cleared"!!! This is the fourth time I have received a call from an inmate and before I could even begin a conversation the program/system hangs up the line stating: "This call is being terminated". I did not use two way calling, call waiting or anything of the kind. This happened twice on 4/30/2011 approx 930pm; Easter 4/24/11 at around 9 - 10pm and before that in March as well.
