A very rude, threatening man badgered my mother into paying $13, 000 on a student loan her granddaughter defaulted on. Fortunately I was able to stop the transaction but the strong arm tactics used to scare an elderly woman into paying on a defaulted loan that was not hers are beneath contempt. Sallie Mae "discharged" the loan to collection. My poor mom was coerced into co-signing a loan for her granddaughter who has defaulted on the loan and thrown her grandmother under the bus. I placed an order with InstantPublisher to produce 100 copies of my book. The turn around was not 7-10 days as promised and they delivered the wrong book to me when they did send the order. I told them when I needed the book and they failed to deliver the book in time. When the order was opened they sent someone elses order! I was so upset and got a refund for my order. I asked Cross Country Moving & Storage, Inc. to move my household items from one house to another about 3 miles away. except a few pieces of furniture everything was already boxed. yet the company managed to charge more than 100% of the costed labor costs for packaging. in addition i charged more hours that what was spent and it also charged fuel as a percentage of total costs rather than e.g. distance. finally, they added another hour moving costs a week after the deliver and never paid the deposit back. if you want to save you some trouble avoid this company. read full review »

I called yesterday to make arrangements on my bill and was told I needed to pay $106.00 before any arrangements could be made. My past due amount was $156.00. My apartment came with basic cable service, so I went to Bresnan for bundled cable internet service. I asked for the cheapest, most basic internet service. The rep said the cheapest was 42.95. I enquired, and she said she would try to get me on a special. Basic service was 24.95. She said she got me on a special which went up to 42.95 after 2 months. After finally confronting the office in person, my service went to the lower rate: no adjustment. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Better off buying your pool parts online! Sold an item they "thought" would work and wouldn't accept a return when it didn't (and they failed to disclose this). Warning avoid Dean Davis 'The Happy Electrician' We used Dean Davis aka 'the Happy Electrician' for some electrical work. we were quoted $540 to feed 4 new wires. After starting the job, he convinced us we needed 6 wires and a new panel plus other work rewiring hot water heater and AC. He pushed the job price up to $2967!!! I waited more than a month for an appointment with this dentist. then when I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and signed in, I was told it would be just a few moments. It is January in Michigan and They Don't Have HEAT. Worst ride ever. The delivery was last second and barely arrived on time for the surgical appointment. Then when we called back for pickup we were told "be there in 20 to 25 minutes" 50 minutes later they finally arrived. I signed up for a cable offer from Time Warner cable. To buy a wireless router, it automatically signed me up for Real Networks at a cost $0.00. After the second month of being charged $14.99 I realized that I was being charged for something I had not agreed to. Every other merchant is forced to be very clear that you are going to be charged a recurring fee. I know that there are thousands of people who have had the same experience and may not even know that they are being charged. They had a $500 million class action suit against them in '99 for privacy issues. I can't imagine how many people they have defrauded since. read full review »

About two years ago, I purchased several of their "couture rings" to sell in my retail store. The stems in the rings to change the beads did not work properly so I asked the owners if they would take back the rings. They agreed and picked up the rings. They gave me $300 for the rings but the actual value was $650. The owner said he would pay me the balance the following week. It's been nearly two years. On 1/2/11 I purchased a ATI video card from the Micro Center store in Yonkers, NY. I was provide with the extra receipts to submit for a $20.00 rebate. I am pretty nervous that I have gotten scammed. The girl that I have been dealing with is named Kayla. I have made 2 orders via paypal and the first one they sent EMS. The tracking number is not showing up and it has been about 5 days. The second order I paid extra to have shipped UPS so that I could access the tracking info immediately. I paid for Botoholic's "GiftBox + PRO" and the product did not work in the intended way. Botoholic had it on their site that if you were dissatisfied, you could get your money back if you said so within 72 hours. I put in a ticket, telling them I wanted the issue resolved or to just refund my money. We are a chemical distribution company based in England. In November 2010 we ordered 60mts worth of product from a company called Tianjin Kaifendge Import and Export. When the product arrived it was in a terrible condition and turns out that it is not the product that we ordered but a combination of waste material and a different product called Sodium Sulphate (which is about $350/mt cheaper than Sodium Percarbonate which we ordered).
