Another Kenmore oven heating element fire. We have the Kenmore 4783 wall oven, installed about a year ago, the oven is close to two years old. Same story - when heating at 350 degrees, the heater element failed and caught fire. My wife was in the kitchen and turned off the oven right away and the flames went out after a few seconds. Having read all of the complaints on this site, I worry about simply repairing and replacing the heating element as it seems to recur for some people. Bought two power recliner loveseats that were supposed to be the best in the store. ONE month after delivery, the seams were splitting, the cushions were sagging, the two halves of the loveseats no longer lined up. Called Customer Service, they sent an inspector. He said that he could fix the seams, but in his own words, these two loveseats "where sh*t". I got fired at a job site in Oxnard, CA for following orders passed on to me by my co-worker from my Account Manager. West Coast Metal Buildings Inc. does not stand behind their product. They built 5 carports for us 1 year ago and after the first snow, one of them came crashing down on top of the 2 trucks that were parked underneath Causing damage to both trucks as well as complete destruction of the carport that cost $3200. Do not do business with West Coast Metal Buildings INC. They do not stand behind their product. They show you pictures of 15 men standing on top of their carports to prove how strong they are . Last August, we ordered a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator at a price of around $2000. We live in a rural community and had to pick it up in a nearby community ourselves. In December of 2006, right around Christmas, our sump pump quit and we had about two inches of water in our basement. We hired Snake and Rooter to come out and fix it. As it turns out, the cord to the sump pump had wrapped itself around the pump and prevented it from working. The plumber from Snake & Rooter told us that the pump still worked and mentioned that now would be a good time to replace the pump as you never know when it will go bad. I employed the services of a fencing company known as The Fence Doctor or All Fence Doctor to replace my boundary fence that had blown down. Part of the agreement with this company was that they would also remove the old fencing. I have experienced an even worse situation involving the Hank's Fine Furniture store located in Sherwood, Arkansas. I have also been billed for this. They told me it was something I asked for on an online survey I took...I don't recall ever asking for this, and have never used it. I have called twice and been told my AT&T acct would be credited. As of now (4 months after the first call) it has NOT been done. I talked to AT&T and they won't remove the billing. I am furious over this. I don't think ANY company should be allowed to add any kind of a charge to any ones acct. that is not Approved by the person responsible for the acct. I was amazed to see how many people have had this problem with their Kenmore oven. This Christmas almost proved to be the last one for me, my husband, and son. I was up late preparing Christmas dinner for our family. I had spent 3 days thawing, brining, and getting a 20 pound turkey ready for baking. I ordered 2 fans and was told that they would be delivered in 2 weeks. After that day came and went I called and waited 30 minutes with no answer for 1 week. Purchased a New Maytag Washer, Dryer, Frig, and the Range unit listed above. The Washer's transmission went out after 14 months. It was maytags industrial model. Paid $75 to replace the transmission in it and now a year later its out again. We bought a Maytag Gemini Stove a year ago in October. We also bought the extended Warranty. November 26 I discovered it had been leaking gas when I walked past it and a flash of light and noise happened between me and the stove. Purchased 13windows and 3 steeldoors from Defender Doors and Windows Co. In the showroom I was pleased with the doors that I picked out and when a salesman came to the house to show us the windows we selected what we thought were nice high quality windows.
