This trutech television is junk! My mother purchased a 13" Tv/DVD combo from Target for my sons Christmas gift. He opened the television on December 25 and today, December 27 the DVD is no longer working. My biggest complaint is that Target will not stand behind this product. I have the original packaging for the TV and they will not even exchange it without a receipt. This is extremely frustrating and upsetting as we are not even able to locate any warranty information on the product or a phone number for contacting Truetech directly for repairs. I was charged $10.00 for a 'membership charge' that I did not authorize, nor did I sign up for this service. I am not sure how this company acquired my credit card information as I use online services for many reservations. This company needs to be investigated, prosecuted, and shut down. I applied for a payday loan, read over the terms and did not see anything for this so called "theft protect service." I didn't authorize this nor remember anything about them in the agreement. I didn't receive the payday loan but I did see a charge on my bank statement for them. I got a letter from a company call AFNI, Inc. They said I had an outstanding debt from a unpaid bill to Cingular for $510.26 and I had to pay it to avoid damage to my credit report. I recently took a new internet broadband connection from Hathway Internet. The connection has been down since last week, but nothing has moved inspite of repeated reminders to the concerned authorities.
