I ordered 3 magazine subscriptions from a representative of Movemeant Inc, on August 8, 2006. It is now October 14 and I have not received any magazines. When I called to inquire where they were, I was told by a snippy rep that the delay was listed on my receipt (in very fine print). I suggested that the reps should tell the person ordering that the magazines will not be delivered for 60-90 days and she claimed no control over what the sales reps said. I bought tires from Tire Kingdom and received a 500.00 gas redemption voucher from a company in Largo, Florida. I have sent in my receipts for three months and have yet to receive a gas card. I just saw on the news that the company is a scam and has had 476 complaints lodged against it. It's ridiculous that there are always crooks out there trying to scam you. We bought a $3000 Sleep Number bed and it's no better than out 10 year old Sealey Posturepedic. I read on their website to try it for 30 days then you have 15 days to return it. I was quoted on an hourly rate. I asked if there were any other fees than the hourly rate which was $45/h. They told me they charged an extra hour for traveling time. I asked is that all the charges, they said yes. The man that I spoke with asked for a $300.00 deposit prior to the move and we would be refunded any amount that wasn't used up. This group has a tenant hotline to provide us with legal advice. I called and before they would provide the help I had to promise and set up a date for a meeting with them and all my neighbors in my buildings. After the meeting they had me go door to door with them and collect $10 memberships with there group. They left with over $400. Their advice was wrong and almost got me evicted. When my neighbors wanted them to come out again they wouldnt. Now I find out they get huge government grants to provide this BAD service to tenants for free! I had bought a king size mattress from Macy's at Cumberland Mall in 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia. When I saw the mattress at the store it was two sided and when I received it the mattress was padded only one side and the other side could not be flipped due to hard box. I received a letter in the mail yesterday that AMEX has cancelled my card. I have had the card for ten years and never made one late payment. My credit limit was only 5K and my current balance is about $500. I hadn't even used the card since Nov 08. Per the "computer generated letter", information from Experian is the reason. I have never been in a situation where the dentist was so unprofessional. While I was with my son having an exam done the dentist "raked over the coals" the dental hygenist in front of everyone! As an incentive to purchase a security system from Pinnacle, I was given a card to register for $600 in VISA cards at $25 a month. I registered, sent in receipts and have received nothing. Now, I cannot even get to their webpage.
