I visited the Bund Garden branch, of the ICICI Bank in Pune to open an account as an NRI needing a Credit Card. The information that is given is only half true and you only discover this after you have parted with your hard earned dollars. I bought a HP factory refurbished media centre PC from FutureShop ($1000). It had 3 months warranty. IT started giving "starting" problems. Shuts on/off several times by itself before it starts. I was recently informed that the Renewal Interest Rate on my fixed annuity will be 3.75% for 2006. I began this annuity last year (2005), aware that we were and remain in a period of rising interest rates. The introductory rate was 4.75%, a very good rate, although not excessive. I am thoroughly disgusted as I just opened a brand new package of Kellogg's Raisin Bran Crunch cereal only to find there were live, little bugs not only in the box, but in the cereal bag as well. An unopened bag of cereal should NOT have ANYTHING but the cereal in it. This USED to be my favorite cereal, but not if this continues. It makes you wonder what's going on at the factory. I purchased the oven in Oct 2005, in October 2006 it caught fire. Maytag repaired and extended the warranty. In December the bottom oven stopped working. Comcast Telemarketer contacted me regarding using Comcast's Digital Voice System. I purchased 2 Bionaire humidifiers (BCM5520RC). They humidify beautifully as long as the filters work. However, the filters last 3 weeks at best using the instructions in the manual and not a moment longer. I wrote to Bionaire, to Holmes (who manufactures both the filter and the humidifier, and to Lowe's (where I purchased the product) advising them that the cost of the filter's are prohibitive to the running of the equipment. My two HP All-in-One machines, different models purchased at different times, now display the same message: "No Scan Options_You need to install or run HP software for this feature." Purchasing upgrade software from the HP site did nothing to restore operation.
