On 9/2/08 some company named Government Grant Membership DBA went into my checking account and withdrew $39.95 that I did not authorized and was also charged $35.00 for NSF, thats $74.95 that I wan back in my account. My company recently finished a 5 month ordeal with National Pen Company. The long and short of it is, after taking over a week to order a couple items (and never ok'ing anything), we decided to cancel the order. 2 months later we start receiving collections notices from them. No products were ever received by us. Credit card was charged for product not shipped. Have tried to contact this company by phone, and internet without any success. I have been trying since Oct 10, 2008. I have been receiving bills from Nursing 2008 magazine, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. I never subscribed to the magazine. I suspect they got my name and address either from my registration at a nursing professional conference I attended this year or from the RN licensure database, which is available from the state where I am licensed. On February 27th 2008, I was awarded a $5000 judgment against Joe Nastasi dba The Tub Factory in 3rd District Court Huntington for defective workmanship and material and defaulting on a product warranty for a whirlpool tub. I purchased 3 items at Vitamin city to the amount of $34.76. I used my debit card and lost my recipt. It was during a move and did not have access to my statement for a couple months. When I got it I found they had Charged me $347.56. When I contacted them and ask for a copy of the recipt they refused. They have not respnded to the Bank, BBB or Consumer affairs. This is not a small amount and is easily taken care of, prove to me that I spent that much. I would guess they have done this before and has not been picked up. This product is labeled "streak-free" on the front of the bottle. On the back, the information says you will get a "perfect tan". Both are untrue. After one application, I now have the appearance of a tiger with light to dark brown streaks on my legs. When I called to complain, I was told "well maybe it is just streak-free for some people". When I bought this product I thought the set up was fairly easy. As it turned out, that was true, but ONLY when I was connecting to MY desktop from MY laptop on a shared router in MY home. In other words, up to 25-30 feet away from one another. Connecting via the internet was an entirely different story. A complete NIGHTMARE, and the kicker is their program is designed primarily for use over the internet.
