I have been receiving calls from this company since Feb 2008. They state that I have an outstanding bill from Citibank for over 10 years ago and they are collecting from it. I went to Michael's to exchange a damaged photo frame. Upon walking to the aisle of where I found the frame, 3 18"x24" frames came crashing down on me! First of all, these huge frame are placed at the very top of the shelves. Do not get fooled by their $6.95 adverts in the grocery paper for carpet cleaning!! They do a very bad job!! They manipulate you into buying additional services with false promises. They hire students to do the jobs and not trained people. Products used are of poor quality and they do not respond to your complaints. Robert Allen's incredible spam marketing is timed to take advantage of people losing their jobs and stealing their money. I've spent a few hours tracking this campaign and they are all over the place with no contact points that actually generate a response. They can take your money online but try and reach them and it is impossible. I don't know enough yet to track back to the holding or parent company for this organization. I was sent bogus check and letter stating that I had won $39, 000. Finding out there are similar scams going around. I never called the number but I will notify the bank (Peoles Bank, Connecticut) that the cashiers check was supposedly from. This was called Consumer's Reward Program and the company was J C Financials. The names used were Sara Smith and Michael Edwards. Numer given 905-781-2863. Name on the check was Brian Robertson. Notified company in November I wanted to cancel my account. The account was not cancelled, and on Dec 15th my credit card was billed for January 1-31. Company refused to reverse the charge. Company refused to cancel the account until the "unpaid" balance was paid. There was no unpaid balance, and even if there were, it was fraudulant since the account should have been cancelled. My husband and I purchased a dining room table from Hanks a few weeks ago. We were told the table would have to be shipped in, and we could pick it up on Wednesday of the next week. Colonial Crossings of Williamsburg (VA) gave us a certificate as part of our purchase of a time share. We completed the certification in August 2008, for a flight from Dulles airport (DC) to Orange County airport(CA) in February 2009 and sent the required fee. On December 11, 2008 we received a written quote via e-mail from this company for $55 to drive from Union NJ to JFK airport for our flight on December 17. On December 15, we called and made a reservation and the $55 amount was confirmed.
