Citibank Banking
DavidfromUK November 22, 2010
When this bank moved its systems to India it make a mess of the online records - it reported an incorrect balance. It was impossible to talk to anyone about this, they never apologised. Last week I downloaded some software they advised me was necessary to protect my passwords - it had not been tested and brought my PC to a halt, I had to un-install and reboot. This week, I find my current account balance is £4, 205 different from the detailed records of the account. I call, the 'customer service' person does not understand... read full review »

Big Issue
Carl F November 22, 2010
As the problem -and fear- of scammers is such a big issue today, I had to make a section about scams all of its own. However, my first piece of advice is don't get obsessed with the idea that you are going to get scammed, this is about finding a wife. You probably clicked on this tab because, unfortunately, today men like you are as worried about getting scammed as you are about finding the right lady. I do not think you should worry about getting ripped off every time you write a letter, receive a phone call, meet a girl, etc. After... read full review »

Don Lapre
Roan November 22, 2010
Don Lapre’s Greatest Vitamin in the World program is a Multi Level Marketing operation that functions by getting clients to purchase products which they agree to sell for the company in exchange for a commission (usually a flat rate). Leaving aside the long list of accusations of con artistry against Don Lapre and the scientifically dubious claims of his product (see this site for the Federal Food and Drug Administration cease and desist letter to Lapre) many former participants in this MLM claim it is an internet scam, or close to... read full review »

Don Lapre’s Get-Rich
Miguel November 22, 2010
He's been on TV for years selling his schemes for making money with tiny classified ads or 900-numbers. Now, Don Lapre has a new scheme, with what he calls the "greatest vitamin in the world, " a scheme CBS News Correspondent John Blackstone reports may be the worst deal on earth. "I've created the easiest way in the world that can make you an absolute fortune, " says Lapre at the beginning of a TV infomercial. Lapre, a get-rich-quick infomercial master, is now peddling wealth through... read full review »

Counterfeit Site Caper
Inferno November 22, 2010
The website looked real--those things are impossible for an amateur to fake, aren't they? Trusting offical-looking websites is an easy habit to develop. And for someone buying or selling a car, the authenticiy of an offical looking webiste like eBay is often the last thing they'd question. That trust could lead to an expensive mistake. One scam that's less well known than the Nigerian buyer classic or the Nigerian seler switcheroois the counterfeit site caper. A typical set up has the seller of a super bargain priced vehicle... read full review »

EcoFirst
meomer November 22, 2010
Not only is their service expensive, the product does not work. We signed up for their $99/quarter plan in the summer of 2010. We were most interested in controlling spiders and snails--both of which they sprayed for. A week after the initial application, we saw no reduction in pests. We called Eco to take advantage of their warranty and they came out the following week to spray again. We waited a couple of weeks to see how the second application worked and still saw no reduction in pests. We called yet again to schedule a third application... read full review »

I keep receiving phone calls from the number 888-611-6904 leaving some robotic drivel on my answering machine about collections for someone else's credit. I have asked these morons to STOP calling me and have pointed out numerous times that they have the wrong number. I am no longer even sure where this came from but I ordered the free trial of the Acai Max and cancelled before the 10 days. I have a 800 number and have called 1-800-320-2983 about 10 different occasions with always the promise of 3-5 business days. I am a member with this company as well. They host dropshiplands products and are absolutely rubbish. Stay well away from them. If you ask them for support you will get some real miserable responses and very patronising ones. I have had many dealings with them and trust me they are useless at service to the customer. Once they have your money you are dog $#@! If you do get a response from them it can take them ages to sort out your issue and it is done very amaturish if that's a word. It took over 2 weeks to get my jersey. I was never able to track it. I was never able to talk to the online chat during this time. When the jersey finally arrived it was the wrong one. Everytime an online chat person would join the session as soon as I told them my problem they would leave with no response. I finally sent an email to an address in one of the confirmation emails. They responded really quickly wanting me to send a picture of the jersey I received. I did so but have yet to hear back from them after several more attempts at the same email address. Bank refused to cash a $140 check, because I did not have a checking account with them. This despite the fact that the check writer had an account with them, and they have been cashing these checks for years in the past. This time, the branch in Mooresville insisted I open a personal checking account with them, even though we already have a 750k mortgage with them and I was able to provide ID, etc. They say there is "no way" they are allowed to cash a check for me, even though it's been done routinely in the past.
