MAACS.com claims to have good customer service and to be reliable. From my experinece this is not even close to the truth. On 09-20-07 I ordered a set of ABU and never got them. I called several times and finally on 12-15-07 I spoke with someone who finally canceled the order which was a lie. I had to e-mail and call several more times and on 12-31-07 I received an e-mail stating they had canceled my order again and that I would have the charges on my credit card reversed. I ordered an auto part online and they said they had it in stock and ready to ship. They charged my credit card of the full amount before shipping. Unwilling to honor their contract of providing a 100% covered preventive procedure. I researched and successfully countered each of their varying reasons for denial. They were either unable or unwilling to give the real reason. A message left for a supervisor was never returned. After hours on the phone with multiple agents over 3 days,and my refusal to hang up, they finally let me talk to a supervisor who said it was a specific medical coding error by the doctor. Dishnetwork and their fraudulent activities must be confronted and every consumer affected by this horrific company must stand there ground and defend themselves. I purchased a 2002 BMW 330xi two weeks ago from APPLE BMW of York. I also purchased the Western General extended warranty for 2.2k. The materials had a picture of a car and examples of prices for things covered under the warranty. One of the items was a fuel pump with the example price of $450. (Important later). On saturday january 5, 2008 we had dependable locks come out and replace our front door lock. Thankfully, we did not make the second and final payment for services rendered, and we did receive "looks" showing their progress in the design before they went AWOL. I recently bought LCD projector costing over $1500. After only a few months it began to shut off after a few minutes of running. Called the 800 number given with the product to inquire about the issue and it took no less than 30 minutes and several transfers to find the right department to even discuss the problem. If you have been ripped off by this company: Call your credit card company at once and dispute the charge, You have 60 days from the date the charge was on the card. E-mail the attorney General, the national BBB, the Florida BBB, the consumer Protection Company and the Canada Mounted Police. That is what I did. I have been receiving calls daily since around 12-15-2007. I have called Secure Horizons on three occasions to get them to stop the calls to my cell phone. I have been told it takes six to eight weeks to process my request, which is absurd. I was told it was because of the size of their database. My cell is in the national 'do not call' list and Secure Horizons has been advised of this all three times I contacted them. I have received a contract application from Calstone Financial, I have NOT given them any of my information as of yet, but I am contemplating their offer, and after much investigation, I have not really been able to find any negative information about them anywhere!! Earlier complaints about non delivery have been cured. Thank you for that. Now it seems the mail is not processed for delivery in a timely manner. Bills are late in delivery .
