I can beat your worst experience with the Geek Squad. In Oct '07 I called to have a wireless network and range extender configured at my business. The tech arrived an hour late (as he was from the Ontario, CA store and they scheduled him a service call 52 miles away (and allowed him with 15 minutes travel time...). My son ordered a pair of Dolce and Gabana shoes and Rockin' Republic jeans from this company. It took 4 1/2 weeks after they took the money out of his account to receive the merchandise. It is obviously fake, it came in a ripped up old shoe box from China. The company is supposed to be in California. I was notified by a police officer that they saw his order, name, address, phone #, partial credit card # and email address on the website when they went on it. That is how they contacted me. Quality carpet cleaners did not show up at our house for 2 appointments. I waited around for 4hrs each day and no one called and said they were not coming. I called the company and they said " the technician had been there and left because no one answered the door " this is not true i was sitting there waiting for them. As a family with school age children, it is nearly impossible to make reservations at popular vacation resorts, unless you book 10 months in advance. The process of making reservations is very cumbersome, as you cannot book resorts online yourself but you have to go through customer service. I signed up for Mediacom phone service to go along with my internet and cable service. Mediacom was here on 1/24/08 and "hooked" me up. I can make outgoing calls, but am unable to get incoming calls. I run a small business and have lost nearly $8,000 since last Thursday. Mediacom says they are "working" on it since then. Northwest inspection Engineers failed to identify multiple and obvious home defects that have resulted in the loss of literally tens of thousands of dollars. Hiring them to perform the pre purchase inspection was a life changing event. Even though these inspectors are professional engineers, they performed at a level that has shocked subsequent inspectors who were hired to evaluate the defects. Inspectors are not expected to catch everything, and certainly not hidden defects. However, the stuff these men missed would be obvious to even a lay person. I ordered CD's with an understanding that I had a trial period to evaluate their product. I called within the trial period to return the product. The lady I spoke with was very manipulative and talked me into an additional 7 days to evaluate the product. On the 7th day, I called to cancel as I was no more impressed than I had been 7 days earlier. Their office was closed so I emailed them. Horrible service, go for 6 month checkup... all seems well... xrays taken... go back 6 months later...
