I'm not sure if what happened to me falls under predatory lending per se but it must be consider fraud. I had a condo and loan in San Diego through Countrywide and used a Countrywide authorized loan agent to process my loan application. For my income I faxed on my company letterhead a memo stating I made $60k annually and it was signed by my manager. My rent check to my landlord, which I've been paying through online bill pay for nearly 2 years, got sent, somehow, to Bank of America. Bank of America, who I had a credit card account with, took the check, looked up my name I guess, and cashed the check - even though it was payable to my Landlord. Parker is not honoring the lifetime warranty that came with my Duofold ballpoint pen. It broke in half as I was using it and they refuse to repair it. After back and forth correspondence, it has become clear that they see things very differently. They claim that the twist mechanism is subject to wear and tear, and therefore is NOT covered by the warranty. When it dies, so does your expensive pen. I purchased a new E320 in 2003. I am very disappointed with one aspect of this car. In approximately four and half years, its climate control system has failed five times. I do put about 20k miles per year. But this car has its climate control system failing about every 20K miles. ECPI was a complete rip off. I went to ECPI with the hopes of pursuing a career in criminal justice. My teachers were great, I learned a lot from them. However the Administration was very lacking. This is the worst credit card company I've ever witnessed. Each call renders you on hold for 20 minutes each time! I canceled membership shortly after receiving the catalog, because I did not care for it at all. I have been waiting for over one full month for this company to reimburse me for the initial membership fee, as I canceled within the 30-day trial period. I purchased a American telecom phone from Office Depot on Aug.27, 2007 @39.99$+tax6%. It was free after mail in rebate, $20 from Office Depot and $20from American Telecom. I submitted as per instruction, I received $20 from Office Depot but for $20 rebate from American Telecom is not come yet. On Oct. 04 2007 I received a letter that UPS code must be resubmitted before Oct 18 2007. Came home from work to find the wife could not say no to a carpet cleaning demo for the Kirby Sentria. Do not buy from this company, they are a scam!!! First they send the package to the billing address and not the sending address. Then they sent the wrong color item. The email page was expired so there is no way to get a return merchandise authorization number that you supposedly have to have before they will accept the package upon delivery.
