We called the maker on this and they said that you must heat the pot up before you make the coffee. But it does not state this on the box. The box says easy-to-use, portable thermal carafe with brew-through lid keeps coffee fresh for hours. We have had to call Fix and Fit out five times now in the past five months. The motorised gate does not open after it has rained. And the previous four times Fix and Fit came out to 'repair' the problem and every time they advise that there is another fault, yet the same problem still persits.
