Here is my experience at Whitby Optical in Whitby Ontario . Absolutely horrendous customer service experience (quite possibly the worst I've ever had). My wife and I bought a 2010 Dodge Journey from these guys. We went in with a letter they mailed to us saying they'd give us 125% of Kelly Blue Book value. I cancelled a booking because the selected hotel did not have an airport shuttle as advertised, and was not near the airport, also as advertised. I got charged $15 for cancellation. I am of the opinion that this fee is inappropriate. The search engine on their web site produces deceptive results, leading customers to make reservations for hotels that do not meet the requested input parameters. Notwithstanding the fine print on their web site, there should be an implied warranty that the results of the reservation process are accurate to the input parameters requested. On several occasions, I have purchased a pack of 10 or 20 Sterling cigarettes from Dobbs General Store. When I light a cigarette, it doesn't always puff. I have had these done at another facility just a few minutes up the road but could not get an appt.when i needed so i thought i would try this place. First time filling the car with gas and the gas door will not re-latch (stays open). Called for service and they will not supply a loaner car. They want me to wait at least an hour for diagnosis and will only provide a loaner if it requires more than 24 hours. Who can afford to take a day off of work for this?
