November 11, 2008
I was approached at my front door by a charming young lady with a tale of how she was earning "points" by selling magazines. She was a single mother, was once on drugs, etc. etc., but now she was turning her life around by earning these "points". A very slick, convincing presentation. Hard not to feel sympathy for her, so I "purchased" three magazine subscriptions, totaling $113.00, including a "handling" fee. She said I would receive a confirmation phone call within a week and that I should give them the code... read full review »

Not Buying March 25, 2009
This outfit has ads on multiple webpages when I searched for my favorite 1970s series. The ads offer "75% off" for a limited time, and link to the product order page, but the website says, and is, "50% off" (I did the math). No response to multiple emails. (No, no responses in my junk folder, either.) After reading other's complaints here, I started looking closer at the website. Nowhere is there any indication of where this company is located. No phone number, no city, no state, not even what country (although one... read full review »

Woodbridge Moving & Storage
Brenda February 25, 2009
Hired Woodbridge Moving in December 2008 as the 2-family I had been renting sold my month-to-month lease did not allow for an extension in time. This fell around the holidays, where I had difficulty finding someone to move for a reasonable price. Woodbridge Moving was in agreement to do such on New Years Eve day (when I had to get out) for $325. Big mistake on my part. The 3 men provided did not come prepared and had to use my own power drill and screwdrivers. None of the furniture was wrapped in the protective blankets (they said it cost... read full review »

TRUTH BEHIND GOVERNMENT GRANTS
shelly March 3, 2009
THIS COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE A COMPLETE FRAUD! I CAUGHT THEM CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT MY APPROVAL! THEIR SCAM IS THIS: YOU SIGN UP FOR A FREE 7-DAY TRIAL MEMBERSHIP TO ACCESS THEIR GOVERNMENT GRANT RESOURCE GUIDE. THEY "TEST" TO SEE IF YOUR CREDIT CARD IS "ACTIVE" AND CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT $1.00. THEN, WHEN THAT GOES UNNOTICED BY YOU, THEY THEN CHARGE YOUR CARD $4.95. IF THAT CHARGE GOES UNNOTICED, THEY CHARGE $9.95. I FINALLY "NOTICED" THEM CHARGING AND STOPPED THEM. IT IS DIFFICULT TO DETECT BECAUSE THEY... read full review »

I was recently a victim of a secret shopper scam and I am in need of your help I was sent a letter and a cashiers check and I checked out the company and the bank that the check was written on and it all looked legit. so I placed the check into my bank account at chase and waited for it to clear a couple days later well when I got back from nascar this weekend I found out from my bank that the cashiers check was fraudulent and that they pulled the money back out of my checking and savings and the bank refuses to help me. I was told to shop at walmart and the gap and to money gram the rest. gale holverson 4808549696 4802085606 read full review »

City of Coral Gables
October 10, 2008
I have couple of complaints about the City of Coral Gables: 1 - Parking. Why do they have so many meters and no-one parking on these meters? Can't you see that unfortunately people dont have the means nowadays to pay parking meters? If you go down streets in Coral Gables all you see are parking meters but no cars, what is wrong with this picture? 2 - Off street parking - Another thing when you finally find a spot where you can park, you get a "Coral Gables Citizen" (mostly all asholes) saying that you are making their... read full review »

I had a page pop up when I was on the internet that said I had 47 viruses on my computer that may damage it completely, I had only just spent money on the computer so I didn't want it to brake. Anyway I could not continue with anything, the page looked alright so I purchased it.On screen it said it would be £49.95 but when I printed off the invoice for it, it came up £104.00. I was not happy so I immediately went to see what it did to the viruses, there was none in the first place. The viruses vanished from screen before... read full review »

Wow Wigs
S.S.Cross March 25, 2009
On the 18th of March I ordered a wig and paid $29.99 for shipment of 2 day air. This was an important item for a full scale production of West Side Story. After 4 days and no wig I tried calling the company for several days and only got phone mail that didn't even identify the company. I tried e mailing and sent a number of e mails and got no response. I finally got a hold of the company and they made all sorts of excuses and said I would have the wig on the 25th. I tried checking the status on line and the order number never worked. Laser Perfect
ihatelaserperfect February 17, 2009
Dr. Gil Segev is the worst, and so is Laser Perfect. I went to them and sustained multiple burns (and now with residual scarring all over), and they were not willing to resolve the matter. They did not refund me money that I had paid for a session I never used, and they did not follow-up my burns. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and one of Dr. Segev's employees wrote to the BBB stating the issue had been resolved, which was NOT TRUE AT ALL! Do NOT go to Laser Perfect for any service. You will regret it. read full review »

Herzing College Online
Diana February 28, 2009
I spent one full year in the paralegal program at this college. I barely learned a thing! They expect you to read 10+ chapters a week, (sometimes that is one class!), and then you answer one question on the discussion board and do some cheesy assignment that usually consists of a couple of sentences in Word and sent as an attachment, then you get an A for that. They gave us temporary access to Westlaw in ONE class, (a law search engine so to speak), and didn't even help us as a class on how to use it. They don't even have... read full review »

Horizon Technologies
Janiy March 5, 2009
I signed up with Horizon Technologies in late Nov. 2008 to be an independent rep for their Millenium Plus GPS units. Initial investment was $2449.00. This bought me a GPS unit of my own, brochures and postcards for mailing to prospective clients, and a website of my own. In 6 days they called with a 'fool-proof' marketing campaign. For $13, 800 they would mail 1000 postcards to prescreened selective fleet businesses (a guaranteed customer base according to their smooth talking sales rep) every month for 12 months. Mailings were to... read full review »

A few months ago, my mother was contacted by "Inspector Bernstein" at her home. He left a message on her machine with all of my personal information and threatened to have me taken to court if I didn't contact them within 24 hours. I had not lived at home since I was 18 (11 years ago), and I never used that as a contact number. I went to a website about 3 weeks ago and it said FREE CD, just pay shipping and handling fee of $1.98. I did not see anything else on the site that would cause me any concern. So I ordered the FREE CD. Was charged the $1.98 fee, which was authorized. Now, I am charged $69.95. UNAUTHORIZED. I would have preferred talking to someone who could have heard this story in it's entirety but hear goes. I hope I don't leave anything out... A few months ago when watching a program I saw a small dog that needed adoption and it got me thinking strongly about replacing a family pet that we had lost in February from cancer and her old age. When checking many of the county facilities I found that the dogs were mostly larger breeds and that if they had a small one it was gone before I could even get a hold on it. I ordered a product called "Celebrity*Sexy*Teeth" (https://www.celebritysexyteeth.com/) from the company "Ionline.com" in November of last year (2008). It was a onetime order for a small bottle of tooth whitener at about $50. The process tries to entice you into buying 3 tubes for $100 but I opted for the single tube. I called the 800 # from my bank report 1-800-487-7085 and spent more than 15 minutes trying to get the person (in India) to understand I wanted to cancel my account.
