I was called by a telemarketer from Cenco Magazine Service about a free subscription to several magazines. They said I could cancel after the free period was up so I agreed to enroll. When I tried to cancel, they said I could not and that I had to pay them the full price of over $900! They sent me to collections and have reported on my credit file for 6 years! My wife made an online purchase of clothing from Newport News about 2 years ago. On checkout, she was asked if she wanted “free shipping” with the order, and if so, to enter her email address. I noticed on my account that today, and on the 5th of last month some company called DRI*REG.NET - HEALTH, with no phone number, took $79.95 from my account. I called the number I found on the complaint board, and they told me to call 1-800-919-2846 for my refund. I have a few phone numbers to call if people need to contact someone at TV DVD Mania (not sure, but they may also go by other names, like Planet DVD, DVD Globe, etc.). "$500 in free gas" induced me to purchase new Kia Rio. However, later learned to collect would need to use $125/month in gas. Impossible driving a Kia on a small Island. SecureGasRedemption's website mentions "alternate gifts" for those unable to buy this month gas month. I have sent 3 E-mails and phoned them once to get more info on the "alternate gifts", but get no response. Someone charged my visa from JMN Corp 1.01 on 12/5/08 then 40.29 on 12/9/08. I called my bank and they gave me this number to call, 1-866-581-8593. When I called, I found out that it was an Adult Website membership. They said that they would cancel it. The email that was used is not mine. It was [email protected]. I purchased a net from Rockymountainwheel.com, who also sells on Ebay. I ordered a Tailgate Net for my truck. The auction listed that the item was an "Easy Install". Company calls receptionists pretending that they have been providing our credit card machine supplies on a regular basis and did we want them to go ahead and ship out our next order. Receptionist believes them and "approves" shipment. We have never done business with them before. Days later we receive supplies at a price that is 10 times the average market price with very high shipping fee. They charged us $162.50 for two 12 packs(24) of thermal 2-ply credit card machine paper(we use single ply). The average cost from a legitimate provider is $31.25 for a 50 pack. This product offered a free trial for 14 days, and i was promised this product and did not receive it but they wasted no time taking money for shipping and handling from my account. Well I have heard how they continue to take money from your account. I received a bill from Discover Card for a $3.88 charge and seven days later a charge for $72.21 for something called Google Tree 4. I called the phone number given and received the information that it was some kind of kit and service to make money on the internet. I never heard of them and did not order the service. How they got my card number I will never know. The charge is a scam because they claim to send out a kit for the $3.88 and then if you don't cancel their service within 30 days they will charge the $72.21. I sent in $7.95 to a company promising a free 30 day trial of Acai Fuel Extreme - just pay for shipping & Handling, and after that you could decide if you wanted to buy more. I made an order 10/20 for an 11/8 event date. My account was charged promptly however I have repeatedly reached out to the company via their phone # on the website and the email address with no response. It is now 2 business days before my event and am going to have to purchase locally. It is very frustrating calling them daily and the phone just rings. I recebntly purchased this cookware and have never been so disappointed. This cookware claims to be non stick hard anodized and I don't know about other boxes but mine stunk. The first time, I submitted an online complaint to my bank, but the charge disappeared on its own after I did this.
