I went to work at Covient shortly after I moved to Southern California. I managed to get myself an apartment in Covina before I arrived, though it turned out that the pictures the landlord posted online were not actually taken in the place I rented. My wife bought Nokia 3500 model on 14th of May'2008 from nokia priority dealer. The screen created problems after 12 days of purchase. I sent it to Nokia Care. They are keeping it for a month. I received a Vanilla Mastercard as a gift and it was DECLINED every time I tried to use it. I did not want to embarass the gift giver so I put it away and tried again later. Seems like many places will not redeem it! When I logged onto the site they show they are deducting a "service fee" for NOT USING THE CARD. When I called - you guessed it - ETERNAL HOLD. Turns out the company TAKES AWAY your card value month by month in "service fees." WTF? They get $50 for the card, they get to work with or invest that cash and then they take away a monthly fee for - what? - storage in my wallet??? We have sent a package including a passport by Purolator. They specifically said sending passports is ok, and it was declared on the envelope that it includes a passport. PUROLATOR simply lost the package. From the tracking system it seems that it never went out of the town, yet they undertook no serious effort to find the package. The case that was opened 4 days ago simply got closed today by declaring our package as lost, i.e., they do not want to even look for it any more. I had two young girls come to my door selling magazines to earn points for a trip to Europe, they were very very pushy but it seemed they were honest at the time. I went ahead and made an order for one magazine and when I was going to write the check they pleaded with me to pay with cash! I foolishly wrote the check and now I know it was a scam as the magazine has not arrived. They were on my doorstep on 8/6/2008. On August 4th (over 2 months ago), we purchased 4 outdoor lights from Total Lighting and Decor in Burlington on Fairview Street. Total cost was $600.00. We made a deposit of $370 and were told it would be 2 weeks before they came in. After the 2 weeks, the lights had not arrived and we were told they would be in next week. I suspected the deal was shady when the finance manager, Carlos, refused to let me see the numbers on paper. He fiddle farted around with paperwork trying to distract me. Walgrens filled out my perscription yesterday wrong as it is every month. I have stayed with them because back in March I paid them $20.00 to fill with generic drugs for 90 days. They have never done it right. Now they are arguing with my diabetic insulin and I don't have enough for the month. I will have to pay 181.00 to complete the time period. On December 14, 2009, I sent a computer and monitors along with two digital cameras via Greyhound Package express to my sister in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After a week had passed and the two boxes were not delivered I began calling Greyhound Package Express, but nothing has been done to find my merchandise. I have found out from a former employee that the workers routinely rip off the labels of valuable shipments and set them aside to steal later. Even I am one of Aquafina's (25 lts home delivery water supply) victim in Noida. I have to call these guys repeatedly and after repeated reminders they deliver the water and at times you will not get water on the same day. I called and cancel that and then there was a $89.95 charge from Accuberry for the pills. I called to cancel and send them back and I was told they can't give refunds they woould get fired. I had ordered some books and CDs from India Today Book Club on 20th Feb 2007. Till 13th April 2007, I did not receive the books and the CDs. Many emails sent to their customer care department remain unanswered. Though the company belongs to a reputed media group, their service level is very disappointing. I intend to lodge a complaint with the cyber crime cell of Mumbai Police if they do not respond to my mails and deliver the promised merchandise within a week.
