Account Now Visa
July 11, 2008
In the beginning of May, 2008 I contacted my credit card company (Account Now Visa) and advised them that someone used my credit card without my permission, they said they would investigate and I would hear from they in 30 days, in 30 days I received a letter stating that they couldn't do anything because someone also used my pin number, that was that. This is July 11th, it is also Friday, I discovered at 2:30pm that account now froze my funds, I called a total of 8 times, Customer Service said the person that froze the accoount, did... read full review »

Elite Indoor Air Care
Sandra Duefrne February 13, 2010
We saw the add in a paper that is delivered to our home every month. The coupon for vent/air duct cleaning starts with saying $39.95. This includes one return, one main duct and vents. The technician came out and counted the vents and said that there needs to be additional work. He NEVER gave a total or did an estimate before starting the work. Needless to say we started at around $40 ...final was told at the END of service is $3100. I called and complained to the owner and he took of $500 (which I did appreciate). However, GET ESTIMATES before the work is done. Insist on it or you will be amazed at what a $39.95 coupon will add up too. read full review »

These days, you can really go by if you don't have any money. So I tried to apply for a loan so that I could get by daily while I'm still looking for a job. The next day I knew, an amount of $49.98 was posted on my checking account that even put my status in the negative. I was just furious about this, so I called the company who did this to give them my piece of mind. They understood my concern and cancelled this subscription and returned to my account by 3 business days. I will be extra careful from now on. read full review »

A copy of email to Samsung: I bought a Samsung made Air conditioner Model AWT 18QBHDC from Goodwill Enterprises, Naya Bazar, Sunam on April 13, 2006 vide Invoice No. 1992. The A.C. did not give out proper cooling from the very first day and I reported it to the dealer. An Electrolux Washer was delivered to my “brand new” home one day after closing escrow. Within a few days, the Electrolux Washer flooded my upstairs (location of laundry room) and downstairs. The cause of the flooding was a defective cold water valve that allowed the water to flow without control. The defective cold water valve was a known issue to Electrolux during two days of production, but the defective units were not recalled or repaired. Thus far, Electrolux has not accepted responsibility for the damages, and my “brand... read full review »

First off, cost for service was high in comparison to other veterinary establishments, however, we continued to bring our pets there based on convenience. In hindsight there seemed to be a lot of unnecessary tests and medication. After being laid off in july of 2009 it became increasingly difficult to pay one bill for a simple checkup that totaled Approximately $500. We had in the past never carried a balance even when presented $700 bill to treat an illness earlier that year. They reluctantly set up a payment plan and would call obsessively... read full review »

I have ordered my furniture from DESI in Rockville in August (now it's mid October), and I still didn't get it - it was supposed to be rushed order because they didn't have colors we originally requested. So I received the pillows. Inside of the pillow cover the actual "pillow" (if that's what you want to call it) was STAPLED!!! instead of being sawn... This is BS, especially if you have kids. Someone can get hurt. In the store service was nice, but for the price of over 4K I expected better quality of furniture. I will not shop there again. read full review »

I too signed up for a loan because I had a medical emergency. I found one and sent an application. 10 days after, I saw a charge on my online account so I called my bank right away to ask who authorized it and they gave me that company’s customer service number. Called them up and they told me that it was a third party membership or like a third party service center, I can’t remember. I asked for a cancellation immediately and a refund of my $49.98. They said they cancelled it and I was gonna get my refund after 3 or 5 business days. Well, they kept their word and I got my money back but it was a little after 5 days. read full review »

A word to the wise: check your phone bills carefully to make certain you are not getting 'slammed' by the absolute sleazebag company known as Operator Assistance Network (OAN). My November phone bill from Verizon was the second time in six months I had a totally bogus charge from OAN passed along to me. Dry Cleaners
October 1, 2008
I've been going to Village Cleaners, near the Clock Tower in Herndon, VA, for years and I have never had a problem. They were never friendly, but they got the job done and I was happy. This changed once they completely ruined my wife's dress. When I brought the ruined dress to their attention they said it wasn't their fault even though they managed to rip the dress and burn it. First they said it was my fault, then they blamed the dress designer, and finally they said that they are not responsible for destroyed articles of clothing. I'd highly recommend using a different cleaners. read full review »

On February 23rd of 2007 I went to Noble House Jewelry with my girlfriend Tracy. We purchased a ring. We selected the ring looking at different setting and different loose diamonds.
