Employment Crossing
On October 14 I gave my B of A debit card information to Employment Crossing, as they promised to provide more job ads. They also promised to not charge employers. Not only did I wish to place a job posting for my employer, I wanted to look for a new HR job.
I was unable to 'view' anything (sample-wise) until I gave my debit card information. Two hours later, after I witnessed that there were no 'new jobs' that already were not on Craigslist.org or Monster.com AND after I unsuccessfully attempted to post a job posting... read full review »
Les Schwab Tire Centers
I took my MR2 into my local Les Schwab store, East Bremerton, Washington State, had them checkout the noise from my front end when hitting a bump. They told me the power steering rack was bad, the boot was full of fluid. Their estimate for the replacement rack was $108.46 plus labour and alignment. I took my estimate home and thought about it over night, went back in and asked if the part they would use would be used, rebuilt or new. They told me rebuilt because they do not make new ones anymore. They said they needed 3-5 days to order in the... read full review »
PerformanceChipsDirect.com
I ordered both the Map sensor chip and the O2 sensor chip. The MAP sensor chip gave a tiny boost in engine smoothness but the O2 sensor chip made my check engine light come on and stay on. Also my fuel economy dropped from 72 MPG to 42 MPG. I returned it and out of $102 that it cost me they refunded $60. Rip off waste of money bad company lies and deception. When I said the items didn't do what they said they asked if I had professional installation. The website says easy to install. They treated me like S&%T when I wanted to return... read full review »
Eagle Warranty
Understand that Eagle will only be covering a part of the repair - the contract is very misleading - read the fine print at the bottom. Also, they pro-rate the amount they will pay according to parts that will last for the lifetime of your contract with them (they are not looking out for you or your car in the least). When used parts weren't available for my repair, they only offered a little more for a new part. I was still stuck covering 35% of the bill.
Their customer service is the worst. Be prepared to wait on the phone for 30... read full review »
2004 Toyota Sienna
I purchased a 2004 Toyota Sienna a little over a year ago. Recently the drivers side door started making a loud noise, like something was bending. I took it in to the dealer today to have it looked at and hopefully fixed. When I arrived at the service center and showed the service tech the issue he seemed confident that it would be covered under warranty but, told me I needed to go to the body shop. Once there the guy I talked to informed me that the problem was a factory defect, but the defect was never issued as a recall. The warranty wa... read full review »
James Lowther
James (or Jay) Lowther has approached several film students at UC Santa Barbara requesting that they be part of a documentary he claims will be on Oprah's new TV network. He has offered no form of compensation for the work he wants done on the project aside from the promise of a credit on the work. While this promise, on its own, does not constitute a scam, the overall lack of information available on him or his company, and his insistence on equipment rented by others, appears to be a very shady operation.
Mr. Lowther'... read full review »
Tire Rack
I purchased 4 tires from tire rack. They were Kuhmo tires that were advertised to be 85000 mile tires. I got less than 15000 miles and they wouldn't pass inspection. All 4 tires were evenly worn. Replacement tire were bought and the alignment was checked and it was stilll within mfg. specs. Tire rack/ Kuhmo wanted me to ship the tires back to them at my expense for there engineers to inspect. Be aware that when you buy tires from an online retailer, all warranties are with tire rack at your expense as opposed to aa local retailer where you could have bought them. read full review »

Volvo of Danbury
Purchased a used lemon, I mean car, here and got the typical used car salesman pitch, only it worked and I purchased the piece of junk. After buying it, found out I paid too much and it was cheaper at any other Volvo dealer. Every time I brought it in to be fixed, they couldn't find the problem, this happened continuously. After 3-months of this, I traded the car in and felt sorry for the dealership who got stuck with it. read full review »
Car Stuff
I ordered a wheel for my car on May 25, 2007. I paid something like $40 for 2-day delivery because i needed it for a road trip that same weekend. As soon as I placed my order and right after my confirmation email, i received an email saying that this particular wheel is considered a "high-performance" part and that because of that it will take 1-2 WEEKS to ship. to be fair, they did not charge me for the 2-day shipping. When the wheel came 2 weeks later, I, of course, refused delivery. The part was returned to their warehouse, but... read full review »
K-1 Auto Carrier
I recently used K-1 Auto Carrier to ship my vehicle (2007 Hyundai Elantra)from NJ to CA. I handed over my vehicle to K-1 on 11/26/09 in NJ. At this time, I took a picture of my vehicle's odometer to note its mileage. K-1 delivered my vehicle to CA on 12/02/09. As I was inspecting my car with K-1's truck driver, I noticed that it had logged extra 50 miles. At this time, I took a picture of my vehicle's odometer again to note its new mileage and immediately brought this fact to the truck driver's attention. He agreed that it... read full review »

Let's see now. On my 79 year old father's behalf, I called this company after he got two weeks use of his new $2, 400 scooter in the spring before it broke. Still being under the warranty, I figured this should be easy enough---wrong! After calling an endless amount of times the first month and put 'On Hold' for hours, not minutes now, hours, they finally sent a service man. Service man orders the part. Simple enough, right, wrong! Part is coming from California, more like China. Said it would be 3 weeks. Three weeks later... read full review »

Hertz Corporation
I rent from Hertz every week, gold customer, you would expect they WOULD CARE!! Returning the car at Hertz Philadelphia airport I left my blackberry in the car, discovered this within 30 minutes and called right away to ask them to pick it up and return it. To cut a long story short, in 48 hours I left about 15 messages on their customer service desk, asking for someone to look for the device and call me back. I then discovered that my phone was fraudulently used which means one of two things: it was stolen by their employee, or they cleaned... read full review »

My complaint with them is that they tried to get me a loan and assured me that even though I had filed bankruptcy over a year ago, I would not have problems. I paid $300.00 for an appraisal on the home I was to buy. I had lived in this home and had it financed under a Land Contract for 3 years. This proved I was a responsible lender.
