WESTINGHOUSE: Yes, my issue with Westinghouse was resolved. I had been calling Customer Service for 4+ months. I called 'headquarters' and it was resolved and I got my new, working TV in 4 days. Fabulous. THE CATCH: you must call 'Headquarters'. It is not a 800 or 888 #, it is a 516 number. I ordered a gun from airsplat on May 29, it arrived on June 6, 4 days later I gave it as a gift to my son, it broke 2 days after that. Their product stinks and they are worse than their product. They know no customer service. Beware of this company. Their technical department is full of wise *** and unsympathetic support people. I couldn't agree more with what others have already written. I was extremely disappointed in the product. It looks as if someone photocopied a manual from the 1970's and the audio files are also a terrible quality. Actually the date on the cover page is 1967. For a company that has a pretty slick website and claims to offer an approach that is not just memorization, their entire approach is incredibly old fashioned and out of date. I contacted Minimax when I was desparate to complete my statistical analysis. Although I was told that the analysis could be completed within a two week period, I received a very basic and unprofessional type document six weeks later. At that point I had missed deadlines with my committee. Further the organization never took my calls and I was never provided basic customer service in terms of follow-up, etc. However, I did receive a courtesy call late April requesting additional money. CertaPro is the worst comapny I have evr hired. They did a poor job, refused to honor their contract, wouldn't finish the job after they were paid, and left a huge mess. I too had a run in with Xlibris after I thought I had done adequate research and negotiated the terms I wanted. Was I ever surprised when the first person - and each subsequent person - that I spoke with after the original sales agent, did not understand or speak English. That was an eye opener. They royally messed up my books. I ended up filing compliants against them with the OAG and BBB. In the end, I got all my money refunded. I ordered flowers from Bloomex to be delivered to a friend in Montreal. The flowers were not delivered. The company insisted they were and refused replacement or refund. The office was very confused and at one point arranged a second delivery date. At that time they again said the flowers had been delivered and refused further arrangements. I purchased a refurbished Sony CD Clock Radio from E-Cost. When I received it, the CD player did not work. I called to get a return authorization and was told I had to go through Sony's service department first. I called the number they gave me and it was constantly busy. I finally found a working number on the Sony web page. I was told to ship it back for replacement, but that I would have to pay shipping costs. E-Costs fine print on warranties either refers you to the manufacturer or tells you the sale was made "as is" and they make no warranty to the performance of the product. I bought 2 phones from Wirefly through the internet also. I bought them in July 2005, kept all records, paid bills on time for their 6 month period. Followed all their rules, and sent everything when I was supposed too. They even said I was approved for the rebate after I waited for a few months and e-mailed them again. This is the second week in a row that we've noticed a decline in product quality at Dunkin Donuts (Annapolis Maryland). The donuts appear smaller, greasier, less appetizing, less appealing colors, less wholesome and do not taste the same as they did just a couple of months ago. The chocolate tastes off. I hate to be harsh but I find that the salespeople are LIARS. Here is my experience: I wanted a camera to take with me for Thanksgiving weekend. I ordered the camera Thurs before the week of Thanksgiving. The website stating that orders will go out withing 1 to 2 business days - IS A LIE! My order never went out. Instead by MONDAY I receive an e-mail asking me to call them up to "verify" my order. What this is, is a chance for them to pressure sell you additional stuff for your camera. Warning!!! These people will tell you anything to get your business. When they are abll to follow through, they will, but when there is an issue, they will not tell you. They will put you off or try to sell you something else. They are not professional or reputable. Web Site lied about a lens being in stock. Sales team lied twice when I called about it going to ship. Web Site listed the order as ready to ship for two weeks. They finally admitted the lens was not in and said they would ship over night with a guarantee that it would arrive before Christmas. He did plumbing and electrical work and he is neither an electrician or a plumber. I took advantage of a 10 day free trial of HoodiaFen, and when I received it I had in time did some research and decided I did not want the monthly shipments, however the website that I printed out to cancel out my future shipments is bogus, and there is no such number to contact them nor did any paperwork come with the trial bottle. Have brought my Escalade ESV in there for both routine service as well as body shop work several times and each time, I receive my car back, they either missed something, broke something else causing me to have to go back over and over and over and over for the same issues. Everyone there is friendly but it is all BS, becuase at the end of the day, they do not live up to their word and no one bothers to check to see that the work is completed satisfactorilly. Do you ever look at you receipt from the grocery store? i usually don't. I will look at the prices of the items i purchased on the register, in case i was charged wrong. Sometimes stores will give you the item free if the register charges you the incorrect price. Then i will look at the bottom line of the receipt for the total sale.
